The way things are in this world, and the way things may have been with your folks, perhaps. All I'm saying is that we humans were not designed to delay marriage.  It is unnatural.

I could have procreated at age 15. Easily done. Now having the emotional maturity to find the one... not so. My first long term relationship.. the lady was crazy.. seriously. after our time ended, the next boyfriend yelled at her and said some terrible things. He was on felony probation.. So she proceeded to beat herself up. It began with punching herself in the face multiple times. My guess is that she was not strong to do sufficient damage. So next, got a broken tile from the bathtub and stabbed herself in the face 4 or 5 times. And then as a finishing touch, took sandpaper to her face, chest, and arms. Finally, called the cops and said that this guy beat her up. He was on felony probation (and therefore an idiot) and ran away. Imagine what happens if I would have done the "natural" thing and stayed with her and made kids. That would have been reality TV show material. 
 

I'm glad people are waiting

Most people (including me) are dumb as a bag of hammers in their teens 

And the way kids are being raised and acting today is a testament to this fact

I know that I am a hell of a lot better grandparent, than I was a parent

Been that way forever

While true, even at 15 you had the smarts and the ability not to stay with this woman.  And, not to treat her like ****.

I believe one major reason , perhaps the biggest one, as to why our society and empire is crumbling is due to ungratefulness. Most Americans, in particular progressives, have no idea how good they have it. Yes, we have our share of the poor, but generally speaking, even our poor get government assistance with AC and running water. The point I am making is that most Americans are so spoiled that they think getting pissed at a Starbuck's employee for getting their order wrong is not a waste of time. Humans were designed to fall in love, pair off (i.e. get married) and have children while they are in their teens.  Delaying marriage has made women promiscuous and men irresponsible. Men believe they can wait until their mid 30's to get married.  Women believe they have their entire 20's to play around. 

This just isn't the case.  The later men and women wait to fall in love and start families, and the more they have sex with others, the less likely they will be able to form the bonds necessary to sustain a healthy relationship make and raise children.

interesting question. If one supports freedom then you have to be ok with any outcome not just the optimal one. Much like freedom of speech. Not all speech is good or valid but if you allow for all of it.. then you have to be ok with the good and the not so good.

None.  I find it curious that you think or would even want, to have "government" address this.  I'm not a Democrat.  So, I do not believe that the bulk of the problems we face as a society should have anything to do with government.

• Marriage - should have nothing to do with government.
• How we raise children - not government's concern
• How we lawfully obtain (or fail to obtain) the means for our own survival - not government's concern.

You get married because no experience over and over again, remains wonderful - and falling in love is no different. What you're doing through repetition, is numbing yourself to the feeling, and to the possibility of genuine intimate bonding. Everything becomes boring through pointless repetition. It comes back to this whole point that body-count matters. We protect and cherish the things we care about  - but dick-numbing repetition dissolves all the reasons to care or cherish. If you've tossed 100 women aside - then why not 101?.. it's almost inevitable. .why would you care either way when you didn't care a dick about the other hundred?

It is this senseless repetition that's debasing intimate human relationships to the level of consumable, disposable commodities. At that point, there really is no point in getting married, because there really is no genuine love - and you're almost certainly with someone who looks at you in precisely that utilitarian, unemotional fashion. So they burned themselves up emotionally - and now they're going to emotionally burn you up as well - such is the nature of narcissism. So males are now disappearing in to online gaming and women are disappearing in to social media where they can drown in their own narcissistic delusions of being a 10/10, by being lied to by male after male after male.

Maybe marriage has ruined society. Marriage has become such a commercial endeavor .............

It should cost nothing to get divorced and millions to get married .............

Marriage for love is not a traditional human concept.
The traditional view is that women are property, and that marriages are arranged by the elders with the purpose of creating social bonds between tribes or factions within tribes.

Typically, the man's family is bribed with a dowry for their taking another mouth to feed (ie the bride) off her parents' hands.

SJ conspirator is a silly person who thinks that this country has been destroyed.
His concerns are those of a bigot and a sexist.
 

I am still not convinced that getting married and having kids at age 22 (for example) sets your life up for failure and harms society where doing so at age 15 is optimal and everything will work out. I know that I was not ready at age 15 and I can't be the only one.
