Here is Putin’s problem today.

He rules a thug ocracy. The Soviets sold all major industries thirty years ago to oligarchs.  It’s a stagnant, corrupt, Russian version of crony capitalism.

But Russia still had what the world thought was a formidable conventional army, one that could slice through to the Rhine in days, a week at most.

His army can’t take Kyiv. The Ukrainians just mauled it.

Can you imagine 50,000 dead and 150,000 severely wounded soldiers, 4,000 lost armored vehicles, and then a rebel brigade gets within a hundred miles of Moscow?

The West no longer fears invasion.

NATO would just devastate the attackers.

And Russia has nothing we don’t have already, but better.

What do you  mean it can't take Kiev?. ....

If Putin wanted to take Kiev ...he could do it in one night by flattening it all and turning it into rubble....all of it....
and in one week Putin could flatten every city in the Ukraine as well....
and that is a  Military fact that even NATO is well aware of .....regardless of western propaganda.
And NATO also knows that if they attack Russia ......every major city in Europe would be struck with low yield tactical nukes .....
causing massive damage and civil unrest.
but even before Putin would strike European cities .....
Russia's allies like China and other Countries whom now see NATO and it's military ambitions as a growing threat would also come to Russia'a aid .
and whether you like it or not ....The list is long.
So, if NATO wants a world war where everybody loses .....it just may get it ....
especially if Lunatics like you whom start diplomacy threads glorifying Biden and NATO can't comprehend that that the Lunatics you are glorifying turned their backs on Peace and Diplomacy a year ago.....in favor of building a new military bloc that now threatens the rest of the world because of it's world dominating ambitions ....
