The guy boxed himself into a real predicament. Poorly calculated on his part. I don't think he could have expected the backlash he encountered on his bud-light bubble baths.  The real culprit here is Bud Light.  If you're going to have these amateur "promoters" promote your product and get paid for it, you're a real *** of a company if you leave the promoter just hanging out to dry when the promotion goes bad. 

Whatever, the whole thing is stupid every which way you look at it.  Mulvaney was stupid to get slice-n-dice sex surgery.  He was stupid to flaunt it publicly.  He was stupid to try and make money promoting a product like Bud Light.  Bud Light is stupid to promote any politically charged issue or event. 

How about beer companies stick to making good beer and promoting the quality and/or uniqueness of their beers.
How about He-Shes go on and try to live a quite life after getting their slice-n-dice surgery, in private.
How about homosexuals confine their gayness to the bedroom, and not try to make it a political issue at every turn.

All of these narcissistic people and companies bring on their own hurt and demise.  They need to stop blaming others for their stupid mistakes.

Anything not so great happens and the water works start and a bunch of stuff about all of these terrible consequences. 99% of the time.. they knew that there was this possibility. If you are so emotionally frail that you can't handle this... then maybe just maybe, you do involve yourself in such an endeavor. 

I am not sure that we are going to see a de-politicization (yes, I can make up words) of life anytime soon. I wish that I was wrong but i have seen no evidence of it decreasing. I was at a concert many years ago where the singer was lesbian. Half of the audience was young women proclaiming their gayness. Between songs she said, "It is great that you are so comfortable with your sexuality but there is more to me and my music than that. Can we please move on from this?"

Not everything needs to be politicized, but as you observed, this doesn't seem to be going away.

May not see eye to eye on most things. However, Full Metal Jacket... what a masterpiece. One of the 10 best films ever made IMHO. I saw an interview once that had Stanley Kubrick and R. Lee Ermey side by side.. such insight.

I'm going to say this.  Mulvaney got a raw deal, even though he is a mentally ill eccentric.  What did he really do?  He was used by a Beer company to promote their Bud Light brand.  You can see that Mulvaney actually put some time and effort into doing this.  Doing it at the direction of Alissa Heinerscheid Bud Light VP of Marketing, and the other Budweiser executives.

This guy, Mulvaney, was perfectly happy sitting naked in his bubble bath pretending to be a girl and making videos about it.  Mulvaney didn't set out to destroy the largest Beer Company in the world.  Mulvaney was just being crazy-Mulvaney.  AB-InBev sought to capitalize on Mulvaney's antics, and in doing so made a huge marketing blunder.  Believe me, there were many more involved than Alissa Heinerscheid.  Someone had to do the artwork for the tranny-can, someone had to send it to be manufactured.  Someone had to run the manufacturing of the can.  Heneirscheid had to give reports to her superiors as to what marketing campaigns she was engaged in.  Oh, yeah, there's A LOT of InBev people who were involved in this. 

I put the blame squarely on AB-InBev, not on Mulvaney who was used by the mega Beer Company and then hung out to dry when the **** hit the fan.

There is one particular "progressive democrat I know who is way way up the food chain at AB-Inbev.  He goes to family gatherings and rails at anyone not drink his products to the point it blows up the gathering.  Here lately he steers clear of me and does want to discuss work like he usually does...lost a bit off his smug attitude to put it mildly
