How, would you promote a movie where the good guy is a United States government agent and runs down to Columbia to rescue a little girl from the evil clutches of sex traffickers?

By praising international efforts to fight human trafficking world wide through the United Nations?

Use this 50 year old woman as the romantic love interest?  How much are guys gonna pay to see her in a steamy love scene, huh?

The Professional is one of my top hundred films, and it has no common ground with Sound of Freedom.

I watched The Professional before Luc Besson was even famous in the U.S.

La Femme Nikita is one of my favorites of his.
Point of No Return was the so-so American remake.

Same here - and same here with la femme nikita. Great cinema. 

I used to haunt the foreign films racks at my video stores because the economics were stacked against any garbage crossing the pond in the pre-digital age. Everything on the foreign rack was solid - and I did not in the least mind subtitles. I saw the original norwegian version of Insomnia. It was **** excellent. Happily, the American version was a very solid film, itself. I saw the original Japanese version of The Departed. Again, a most excellent film - and again, the American knock off was solid, as well. 

I hate it when the American version sucks. But that's pretty rare, because hollyweird is pretty good at its job, and when you give them a great movie to copy, all that is needed is the infrastructure - good sets, good directors, good actors. We have those things in abundance. What we lack is imagination and balls. And when there is a stellar film staring studio heads right in the face, they grow a pair and provide the kind of budget that produces a solid film. 

As to bruce's opinion, he doesn't have one. Not one that he can stick with, anyway. He's all over the board. He started out shilling left wing talking points against the film, found his position could not hold up to scrutiny, mitigated it some, found that was too weak, changed it altogether. 

The democ rats hate this film for one simple reason. It makes "minor attracted persons" (PEDOPHILES) out to be the bad guys they are. That's it. All these posts in, my original question is answered by their inability to answer.

There were tons of Steven Sigal and Westley Snipes action movies that were low budget.

Star Wars used computer graphics in 1977, to keep costs down.  We are used to it, now.

I love movies. 

But by November Sound of Freedom will be $3 to rent and $5 to buy at Red Box.

And I’ve found the best source of indie movies is in some college town in a small independent theatre where I’m the only former Republican in miles.

Liberals love the ****  out of indie movies.

The problem with American public education is old time Scottish tradition Christians no longer control the state school boards, if there even are any.

Campbellite controlled local school boards still exists and those schools are NOT the problem.

But selling the real schools to charter schools is not the answer.
 
There is no federal constitutional right to a tax payer funded universal public education.  The fifty states all guarantee that, but allow damned fools to have drag queens read stories to children, and transsexuals that look like boys inside the girl’s rest rooms.

They are trying to teach tolerance. They actually  are teaching acceptance of perversion.

  But the alternative is worse.

 Close the public schools and 12 years later you’ll have wealthy children who can read the masters of illiterate and superstitious children of the poor.

America will not work without universal literacy.

There was a Japanese film "Iron Man" (subtitled) I watched with interest. 1990's movie.

Hollyweird has to take liberties when putting a novel to the screen. Understandable.
I was disappointed in the One Flew Over the Cuckoo Nest ending.
Would have been better to end it with a short scene depicting the book's epilogue.
Otherwise a great movie and Jack played the part well even thought the book's character did not match Nicholson's physical stature.
Two departures from the book; one easily dismissed, one was a small miss.
