Dan White was a bigot. After the Jim Jones massacre, White got angry his attempt to rejoin the Board of Supervisors he’d resigned from was eclipsed by the Jones coverage.
White got a gun and murdered the Mayor and shot Milk five times, a cold blooded murder.
White confessed.
But because Milk was gay, a jury accepted the Twinkie Defense and instead of death or life for first degree murder, gave White five years.
I knew that when I was an ardent Republican and Reagan supporter.
These schools that want to erase history are wrong.
How can teachers teach history?
