He’ll make the kid pay a higher price to come home.

And if Trump was President he might fly over there and cross over and bring him back himself, and pardon him.

Trump down deep inside, is not the slightest bit cruel.

He just talks smack for the peanut gallery.

          I think few would make the case for shooting him..... 
  Myself, I consider him as much a fugitive from justice as anything --- even though he is also very much a deserter by definition.. 

           I very much doubt Trump would be offering Kim any great rewards or concessions to get KIng back --- though if he was making any deals, his motivation would be to make King face justice back here and pay that price... 

          As for Biden, I remind you he was part of the negotiation team that gave up 5 Taliban Commanders from GITMO for the release of the deserter & traitor Bo Bergdahl who abandoned his post and comrades in a combat zone --- and presented himself to the enemy...   And what price did Obama / Biden have Bergdahl pay?....  He paid a $1000 fine for 10 months, a reduction in rank, a Dishonorable Discharge AND NO JAIL TIME.

    Being the qualifications for the job go little further than who promises the most free stuff, it wouldn't surprise me...

It’s a strange and fascinating fact that most Democrats I know love and adore Abraham Lincoln.

Lincoln was the first Republican President. 

Here’s the legend of Lincoln pardoning the sleeping soldier:

Lincoln was said to have written her back that her son was not to be executed except on his own order.

And that if that if he lived until he ordered him shot he’d live to be a great deal older than Methuselah.

The return letter was lost, of course.

             Bo Bergdahl wasn't an exhausted 16 year old Sentenial who fell asleep on Guard Duty.... He was wide awake when he abandoned his post -- his comrades -- the US Army -- and presented himself to the Taliban enemy... The 2 cases are not remotely comparable.. 

             Also, 
the more famous & often referenced Civil War soldier who fell asleep on Guard Duty was Pvt. William Scott (VT) -- aka "The Sleeping Sentinel" .. Scott was Court Martialed and sentenced to be shot for falling asleep while on Picket Guard Duty... The Officers and Soldiers in his Regiment spoke on his behalf and appealed to Lincoln for a Pardon, which was granted...... Shortly afterwards Scott was killed in combat.
