Thanks for the cannon-fodder for this next election cycle. Nobody wants your Democrat-***-licking water heaters.
Do you own an Energy Star wood stove?
You can buy an inductive heat 40 gallon electric hot water heater today for $400, and it’s a most excellent bitch. Cheaper than gas, no maintenance, no pilot lights, works like a crowbar, if it breaks replace the $10 element.Skans » 24 Jul 2023, 11:12 am » wrote: ↑ Thanks for the cannon-fodder for this next election cycle. My place came with two top of the line electric water heaters. I just hope they won't need replacing in the next 30 years. Of course, I'm sure they will - all water heaters eventually go bad. .Bruce » 24 Jul 2023, 11:58 am » wrote: ↑ You can buy an inductive heat 40 gallon electric hot water heater today for $400, and it’s a most excellent bitch. But, the ones Brandon will put in every basement are four times better.

I keep my gas powered generator new-in-box that won't be opened unless and until I need it. But, I really do need to pay that electrician to come out and install a generator panel and convert an old RV hookup to a generator hook-up. When I get a round tuit.sootedupCyndi » 24 Jul 2023, 12:29 pm » wrote: ↑ The latest today Skans- is gasoline- powered generators.!!! gonna be outlawed?

I own two, in rental homes.
When I put the first one in, my renter called complaining the house was too hot.
After a few tries she learned the problem was not to use but just a little bit of firewood.
They seriously, don’t put out as much smoke than a cigarette.
Thanks, Obama.
I grew up with central propane heat with a wood stove backup. We burned three cords of wood every year.sootedupCyndi » 24 Jul 2023, 12:29 pm » wrote: ↑ The latest today Skans- is gasoline- powered generators.!!! gonna be outlawed?

I'm seriously thinking of buying an old fashioned wood stove? and installing it in my living room. yuk. i have rugs.
my wood furnace does heat- but without electricity- the fans don't work. so the heat rises slow! Up thru the duck work!
Some times in the winter- we sit here with no power for 4 days! 20 below.
I hate to do that- because wood stoves like that are dirty. wood chips and sparks fly.
But in our cold climate- it may be life or death
its very sad that I have come to the point that I need to do these things - or even think about dying!!! from the extreme cold
because out gubmint has become SO IGNORANT!
I already talked to an electrician. Going to be $1,000 just for the generator panel and something like $300 to convert an RV plug to a generator feed. I don't live in Maine, so ...... when I get a round tuit. (don't give my wife one of these!!!)sootedupCyndi » 24 Jul 2023, 12:57 pm » wrote: ↑ We did that. I never seen a man fly outta this house like my buddy!
He went down and bought a new one cost 900 bucks. it got delivered- Oh noes- the plugs were different.
I sat here 4 days... and thought I was freezing to death... Got really got sick.
two feet of snow- couldnt get out.
The first day we could- We went to town and bought an old fashioned kerosene heater. storm in all cost 1300 bucks!
MY new one will not Start! GENERAC!
take yours out- get an electrician to convert the plugs over -and try the DAMN thing!

You do realize that on some glad morning, some day, the dad blasted gubbermint will issue regulations where every new construction home must have a Tesla plug.sootedupCyndi » 24 Jul 2023, 3:07 pm » wrote: ↑ DO not let any grass grow under your feets? they all are floating on the news

What wise regulations do is make all our lives a little better, over time.
Most coming out today began under Trump.
not to mention taxes were lower, we were energy independent, inflation was a lot lower, the border was more secure, And he could answer questions coherentlyBruce » 27 Jul 2023, 6:33 am » wrote: ↑ Most coming out today began under Trump.
The process takes years and years, and should.
Regulations that help all of us are subtle and are all like the ones Bush started that came in under Obama about wood stoves.
The new Energy Star wood stoves are so much better, the old wood stoves are not worth anything.
There’s a measure of people who love to whine, bitch, moan, piss, grown and belllyache about them there gubbermint regulations.
But under the Trump administration government regulations led to incandescent light bulbs being replaced with new LED bulbs that cost less to buy, use over four times less juice, and last over seven years,
Thanks Donald Trump!
