"Barbie" is a child's toy. What kind of adult gives any thought at all to it unless buying a gift for a child. My daughter had some when she was a child.

The Disney of today is a different Disney than what we grew up with. Today's Disney has decided to busy itself promoting deviant sex to children.

Disney did that without any help from the Republican party.

Right wing media hated Barbie, mostly for its wholesome decency.

And my wife snd I saw Oppenheimer, which would have made more money than Barbie, except only half the number of people could buy tickets to a movie over three hours long.

Sound of Freedom is on its way to three dollars to rent at Redbox and five dollars to buy.

Barbenhiemer is a purely Democrat phenomenon.

MAGA is outnumbered.

Biden isn’t going to win so much as those MAGA bastards are going to lose.

I mean, I can understand the MAGA low brows not wanting to spend three hours and fifteen minutes watching a film mostly narrated by Robert Downey Jr playing the role of Eisenhower’s 1959 Commerce Secretary Lewis Litchtenstien Strauss.

But how mean do you get to hate Barbie?
MAGA will lose because they cannot get themselves to give up the notion that many people in America love the clown as much as they do.  His approval numbers are even lower than Biden's.  Just barely over a third of Americans like the clown.  Not a lot more than that are giving love to Joe, but what is going to happen in the next year?  The clown will go on trial in multiple felony lawsuits(and probably be convicted in at least one) at the same time that the economy will keep getting better, and inflation will keep coming down.   The juxtaposition between two old white guys will not be as stark as the juxtaposition between Obama and McCain, for example, but the separation will be sufficient to have the vast majority of those 2/3rds of America who hate the clown hold their noses and vote for Good Old Uncle Joe one more time.

AND THEN, 2028 will be the chance for both parties to put their squad of veterans out to pasture and show America what the next generation of Democratic and Republican leaders looks like.

Nice, but I'll remind the folks that you possess a narrow range of view. You're a retired government worker who has never experienced the trials and tribulations of most working Americans. Your job was regimented to the degree that nearly all decisions were made by superiors who told you when to eat, when to shower, and when to sleep. You bought groceries at the Company Store and watched movies at the base theater. You lived in Company Housing and were restricted to guarded, fenced enclosures. You had a prepared manual that provided you with the regulations and the design for proper living. It's no wonder you are a fanatical socialist,  you have never had to be compensated in a way that hard work and ingenuity guaranteed for a better income. I hope you take this as not criticism but helpful dialogue to examine your obvious biases and help you to overcome them.

Your Pal, Reb.

You know very little about me.  I retired from the Navy in 1993 and, after a four-year stint working for democratic state legislators in the Maine house and senate, started an entire new career working for a regulated public utility where my hard work and ingenuity got me a series of promotions and a better income. I retired (for a second time) in 2008.  After that, I was asked by my church to be their interim minister for two years, which I did.  I have owned homes and had mortgages,  co-signed student loans, had to pay exorbitant oil bills for a drafty old house, and lived in the same economy as you did.  I may have biases, but they do not come from living a sheltered life, because I certainly have not done that.

your honorable adversary, MM

About 1966 my father took us to Colorado for a vacation that always started on Sunday afternoon after church and ended on Saturday evening when Daddy would review the preacher’s sermon outline for the next day.

While in Colorado we were standing in a line in a nice restaurant and were seated at a table, when in the far corner Daddy saw some men sitting on  bar stools and a beer tap.

My father left a tip for the waitresses  and we got up and left without ordering.

The owner was alerted to this, and came out to the car to ask us why he’d left a tip and walked out,

Daddy said those girls you hire to wait tables are some one’s daughters.

Which one pulls the beer tap, for those men with hungry eyes?

You have built a business where you order young girls to serve beer.

We won’t be part of it.

I never did forget.

My father was born in 1919 and died in 1971, aged 52

Our church had traditions, where while elders could be single men, only married men could be elected to a d choose to serve as the Superintendent of the Chosen and Elected Elders.  Daddy was elevated in 1947

I was born in 1958, and until 1971 I never missed a Sunday morning, not one, where Daddy didn’t open services.

I presented Daddy with his perfect 50 year attendance pin in May 1969, as a Deacon.

My eyes, are a little moist.

Take off with it, Sally Mountain Show!

(Daddy’s church, and all the other churches in the Ozarks had them on regular rotation to sing specials, for good pay)

and I need to correct a few other misconceptions here:  when I was afloat, I WAS told where to eat (the wardroom), where to shower (in my stateroom), and where to sleep(also in my stateroom), but I did all of those things when my watch rotation allowed it, which, for OOD's on a three section watch is sporadically at best. When ashore, I rarely shopped at the commissary, because the selection at the local supermarket was a lot better.  I have watched ONE movie at a base theater and have spent all of six months in Navy housing. And the UCMJ is not significantly more restrictive than the layers of city/county/state/federal statutes that every American lives under.  And finally, I am not a socialist.  I am a moderate, hawkish democrat a la Scoop Jackson.

Do you realize, that if we Democrats were faced with any evidence Joe Biden was anything except an old fossil of a moderate Democratic politician we’d hang him, too?

His son Hunter is as big of piece of ****, as his dead son Beau was nearly a saint.

And don’t forget Jimmy’s holy roller sister Ruth Carter Stapleton

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ruth_Carter_Stapleton

Did she sincerely believe all the pseudo Christianity she sold?

I sure hope so.

When did Republicans get as mean as liquored up drunks in  road house?

I was a Republican then and Jimmy’s family was an obvious embarrassment except for Miss Lillian.

The whole nation loved Jimmy’s Mama.

Billy Beer was a retail product. Hunter might have the business sense to sell crack. But he didn’t go that route. He sold influence. Hunter has no influence himself so he made deals with somebody who did…the big guy.

All the Republican hue and cry against Hunter proves how essential a free press is to any government.

Those of us that follow legitimate, edited, fact-checked news know, we don’t guess we are certain, Hunter Biden is probably the most embarrassing son of any President in living memory.

He used the power of the name Biden to go overseas where corruption is a way of doing business and got on boards where he FALSELY peddled access.

One must go back to Billy Carter saying there’s a hell of a lot more Arabs than there is Jews to have any kind of comparison.

It was lots more than just Billy Beer.

—-In late 1978 and early 1979, Billy Carter visited Libya three times with a contingent from Georgia. He eventually registered as a foreign agent of the Libyan government and received a $220,000 loan, The New York Times reports belief[18] that only $1,000 was repaid.[19] However, Edwin P. Wilson claimed he had seen a telegram showing that Libya paid Billy Carter $2 million.[20] This led to a Senate hearing on alleged influence peddling which the press named Billygate.[21] A Senate sub-committee was called To Investigate Activities of Individuals Representing Interests of Foreign Governments (Billy Carter—Libya Investigation).[22]
"I am deeply concerned that Billy has received funds from Libya and that he may be under obligation to Libya. These facts will govern my relationship with Billy as long as I am president. Billy has had no influence on U.S. policy or actions concerning Libya in the past, and he will have no influence in the future."— Jimmy Carter, August 4, 1980[23]

The defense for the Biden family is they sold influence but gave nothing in return? 🤔

Millions of dollars paid to Biden family members is your evidence. They wouldn't keep paying unless somebody was delivering and Joe is the only one who could deliver.

Now what about buyers of Hunter's so called  "art"? Hunter can't do anything for anybody.
