It’s either virtue shaming or fear of germs, mostly to advertise they aren’t all Trumpy.

In 2022, Pfizer recorded a revenue of 100 billion dollars. It's vital to keep that money coming in.

But I see people wearing them about every day (not many)

A few businesses have some employees that are wearing them

Some of the pharmacies too

I haven't seen anyone in a mask around here in ages... even at my doctor's office.

​​​​​​I saw a woman last summer I believe that was having a meltdown in a convenience store because she was standing way back behind everyone with her mask on while people just kept walking past her to go buy their stuff.

She started yelling about how she was actually in line and social distancing, and everyone kept cutting in front of her. Then the next guy up was going to let her go ahead of him , but she wouldn't go up to the counter unless everyone cleared out of her way by at least 10 feet.

There are some people who have serious immune disorders.  When people are going through chemo, have leukemia, or have had organ transplants, their immune system is almost nonexistent.  There are also some medications that suppress the immune system.

The reason that the person might be wearing a mask is because they have a compromised immune system.

I have a friend with a lung transplant.

He wears an N100 (they make ‘em ) and latex gloves.


 
Worst part is, he never smoked.

But other than him and a few others, I see cloth masks on Bernie supporters.

Covid19 and variants are not gone.................. people are still dying as a result

Then there is Long COVID that is perplexing .......... and inconvenient and not truly understood as yet.
 
If one has cold, sore throat or any other contagious situation that they don't want to share masks make sense.
