If Illinois wants to take US Citizenship off of its list of job requirements to become an LEO, that is certainly their right to do so. Biden has expanded the number of Border Agents to roughly 20,000.
And while that sounds impressive, they work 8 hour shifts and get two days a week off, they work in pairs, and not all are right on the border.
Trump completed about 50 miles of barrier, which makes 700 miles total, and almost all of it can be scaled, or tunneled.
In all, 20,000 agents catch and deport 10,000 people a week along a 2,000 mile border.
At least 11 milion or more, have made it past the danger of being snatched up by the border patrol.
I don’t have a solution but that’s the problem..)
Only non-U.S. citizens who are allowed to work in the U.S. under federal law and individuals who entered the country without valid documents as children but who were allowed to stay without fears of deportation under the DACA program will be able to apply to become part of Illinois law enforcement.maineman » 02 Aug 2023, 7:38 am » wrote: ↑ Yes, they ARE legal immigrants.
A green card IS the sign of a foreign national who has immigrated to our country legally. He's not a citizen but he is authorized to live here.
He can't vote, but he can work, own property, and pay taxes. The law is specific. It says that a foreign national can be an LEO as long as he meets the job requirements (I would assume some minimum level of education, a driver's license and a clean criminal record) Illinois simply says that United States citizenship is no longer one o those job requirements.

Biden literally told everyone the border was open, and he's made illegals from multiple Central and South American countries "legal" immigrants.
They can just walk right in, and be released into the country, with ZERO vetting.

DACA kids are not breaking the law by their very presence. Their parents broke the law and our government decided to give them a renewable two-year deferment on any action on their immigration status.
And next, I think we should spend a few days debating how many angels can dance on the head of a pin.

There’s 700 miles of barrier any young man can shinny right over, and old men use ladders.
We opposed building a wall because walls don’t work, except to satisfy the lusts of racist bastards who hate brown people, legal or illegal, citizen or permanent resident, they hate them all.
Biden does enforce border laws and he’s going to put up more barriers.
I support border security myself, always have.
But I spend 44 years as a wicked Republican, and I’d like to see heaven when I die, you know?
I've never seen anyone "shimmying" over the new border wall. Can you show me?Bruce » 03 Aug 2023, 10:31 am » wrote: ↑ Trump added 50 miles to the 650 mile barrier.

Destroying your country isn't going to get you to heaven. The Secure Fence Act of 2006, which was passed by a Republican Congress and signed by President George W. Bush, authorized about 700 miles of fencing along certain stretches of land between the border of the United States and Mexico. The act also authorized the use of more vehicle barriers, checkpoints and lighting to curb illegal immigration, and the use of advanced technology such as satellites and unmanned aerial vehicles. At the time the act was being considered, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and Chuck Schumer were all members of the Senate. (Schumer of New York is now the Senate minority leader.)Obama, Clinton, Schumer and 23 other Democratic senators voted in favor of the act when it passed in the Senate by a vote of 80 to 19.

FAKE NEWS FAKE NEWSROG62 » 01 Aug 2023, 6:39 am » wrote: ↑ In more of the left-wing lunacy that has taken root in deep blue states, Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker signed off on a controversial bill allowing foreign nationals to become law enforcement officers, a move that critics blasted as “madness” for setting the stage to potentially deputize illegal aliens to arrest U.S. citizens in their own country.
The bill, which amends the Illinois Municipal Code and goes into effect on January 1, 2024, “Provides that an individual who is not a citizen but is legally authorized to work in the United States under federal law is authorized to apply for the position of a police officer, subject to all requirements and limitations, other than citizenship, to which other applicants are subject.”
U.S. Rep. Mary Miller (R-IL) assailed the passage of the law that could lead to illegal aliens being given guns and badges and unleashed on citizens in the Land of Lincoln.
“At 5pm yesterday, when no one was paying attention, Pritzker signed a bill to allow illegal immigrants to become police officers, giving non-citizens the power to arrest citizens in our state. No sane state would allow foreign nationals to arrest their citizens, this is madness!” Miller said in a Saturday post to Twitter.

No person in the USA "illegally" can become a police officer. My best guess is an "illegal"person would not apply
to the law enforcement agency for employment,
Plenty of "cops" that could be racist are "cops" that shoot black and brown and poor white instead of pursuing them then placing hand cuffs on the alleged criminal. Yet all "cops" must be trained first... so it is what they are taught in training that matters.

Look up climbing trump's border wall on YouTube. There are quite a few other examples.
