As President, my primary concern must always be the greatest good of all the people of the United States whose servant I am. As a man, my first consideration is to be true to my own convictions and my own conscience.
My conscience tells me clearly and certainly that I cannot prolong the bad dreams that continue to reopen a chapter that is closed. My conscience tells me that only I, as President, have the constitutional power to firmly shut and seal this book. My conscience tells me it is my duty, not merely to proclaim domestic tranquillity but to use every means that I have to insure it.
I do believe that the buck stops here, that I cannot rely upon public opinion polls to tell me what is right.I do believe that right makes might and that if I am wrong, 10 angels swearing I was right would make no difference.
I do believe, with all my heart and mind and spirit, that I, not as President but as a humble servant of God, will receive justice without mercy if I fail to show mercy.
Finally, I feel that Richard Nixon and his loved ones have suffered enough and will continue to suffer, no matter what I do, no matter what we, as a great and good nation, can do together to make his goal of peace come true.
[At this point, the President began reading from the proclamation granting the pardon.]
"Now, therefore, I, Gerald R. Ford, President of the United States, pursuant to the pardon power conferred upon me by Article II, Section 2, of the Constitution, have granted and by these presents do grant a full, free, and absolute pardon unto Richard Nixon for all offenses against the United States which he, Richard Nixon, has committed or may have committed or taken part in during the period from July (January) 20, 1969 through August 9, 1974."
[The President signed the proclamation and then resumed reading.]
"In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand this eighth day of September, in the year of our Lord nineteen hundred and seventy-four, and of the Independence of the United States of America the one hundred and ninety-ninth."
——

I was 16 years old when Ford pardoned Nixon and until the rise of Trump I always supported his decision.

Now I don’t.

Trump should have a fair trail, and rot in ADX SuperMax until the day he dies, and be cremated and his ashes scattered so they won’t be made into a shrine by his fanatical supporters.

Ford **** up, pardoning Nixon.

If we let Trump get off, there’s going to be Trump after Trump until finally a Trump establishes a dictatorship by popular consent.

Presidents that shine a light on Democrat corruption seem to resonate in your subconscious.....now if you could only make the leap into clear thought, you could be a contender.

I was a Republican in 1974.

I was ashamed of what Nixon did.  I did not deny what Nixon did was criminal and wrong.

I was proud of Ford, for trying to heal a divided nation.

Ford, was wrong.

Trump lost a close election and he tried as hard as he could to convince Mike Pence to alter the electoral vote counts to simply gavel Trump back in office.

That happened.

Trump should be let out one hour a day, no visits, no press, in a cell next to El Chapo.

Election interference with ignored foreign orientation of the election interference coming from feudal monarchical styled corporation groups and GOP-democrat uni-party that signs all their paperwork into law without public discussion.  Wonderful representation for favored corporation groups as the citizen limps down the road with nothing but a few rags and some experimental medical treatment paperwork or gets marched into foreign border war mine field, etc.

Your day in court will most likely also arrive and you will plead that you are not an animal in the law, no, you are a human being, its all those other non voluntarily classed and grouped people who are just a fetus animal that has survived abortion.  Your pleas will be ignored like tears in the rain as the prescribed sentence for your particular separated feudal group is carried out by the anti all natural creation, pagan barbarian war slaver feudal monarchy.

No, this country needs to be like Germany and their Nazis about Trump.

If you drove one false elector to where they assembled in seven states to dummy up “alternate elector” slates to give to Mike Pence on January 6, or  if you put air in the tires of the car used to drive them, and were aware of the plot, you go to prison as accessories.

There were hundreds, maybe thousands of co conspirators.

Find every one, if it takes 85 years.

Driving while black isn't a crime. Questioning the integrity of an election while Republican isn't either. The dnc made up a tale of Russians hacking and leaking damning information highlighting their bigotry and hypocrisy. Their media lap dogs managed to turn the story into espionage rather than discuss the vile and racist contents of these emails. On the back of this, they called the legitimacy of the 2016 election into question. A not so silent coup was started and conducted against Trump.

Jailing Trump would ensure Republicans win the 2024 presidential and congressional races. I want to see what happens when the dog catches the mail truck.

No, no diversions.

Trump somehow convinced alternate electors on December 14, 2020 to all go assemble in seven states for an absolutely evil purpose, to sign and certify and present those seven slates of electors to Mike Pence.

They didn’t volunteer to commit treason, they were recruited.

In Germany, if you were a truck driver hauling Jews to the camps, you are a criminal.

I happen to be very close friends with an alternate Democratic elector from Missouri in 2020.

He stayed home on December 14, 2020.

He knows all those old prison songs I know, and J C can play all up and down the neck of his Martin and never miss a lick doing it.:)

We cannot make all wrongs right,  but we can put the fear of prison to every alternate elector in every state for another thousand years.

If your candidate lost, then you don’t even start your **** car the next Tuesday after the second Wednesday in December.  You stay home, that day,

Parties nominate their own electors. Trump was the head of his party. This whole secret elector story is a media fabrication.

Electoral Count Act of 1887... it was a law on the books for 135 years... Trump followed the law .... Pence could have sent the votes back to the states, and it was such a thorn in the Democrats side... they had to rush in and change a 135 year old law...

If it was illegal why did the Democrats scramble to make something legal to be illegal?...

Collins letter explains exactly the fact Pence could remand the votes back to the states... but they were changing it so it could not.... WHY CHANGE IT AT ALL? The fact they even messed with a 135 year old law shows it did not fit their agenda all of a sudden... How strange you think that they changed a law they thought was OK...

"First, it reasserts that the constitutional role of the Vice President in counting electoral votes is strictly and solely ministerial. (because it did not prior) The idea that any Vice President would have the power to unilaterally accept, reject, change, or halt the counting of electoral votes is antithetical to our Constitutional structure and basic democratic principles. Stop.

Next spring in Missouri we Democrats are all going into conclave where we will have ten times prettier young girls serving us old men at the chow line than Republicans have at their sorry **** excuses for conventions.

The music at our pow pows comes straight off the stage in Branson, Missouri.

We are all going to hope a Democrat wins in Missouri.

Maybe it will snow in August next year, too.

This is JC and his lovely bride.

Image

He’s waited since 1964 to be an alternate elector.

He was one in 2020.

He’s 80 years old, a farmer, gun lover, guitar player, and past poo bah grand potentate of every Democratic organization for a hundred miles around him since he graduated college.

The Republicans chose people to be electors every bit as honorable as J C.  Their electors were the real electors on December 14, 2020 in Missouri.  J C stayed home and sipped some mighty fine bourbon whiskey, in his shop.

Lock those mother **** up for twenty years, if they even walk towards their cars to go to the State Capitol in December if their candidate loses in November.

If you don’t do that cruel thing now, then for all time to come the constitution will not work.

There is NOTHING ILLEGAL about a president requesting an alternate slate of electors, and it's been done before.  Stop being a stupid sheep and look at how they were used in both Vermont and So. Carolina in the presidential election of 1876.

Excuse me, but isn't it a FACT that Hillary, Gore, and Stacy Abrams ALL CLAIMED THEIR ELECTION LOSS WAS FRAUDULENT?
Do you recommend prison for them also?
No, of course you wouldn't!  That's because you're nothing but a foolishly gullible leftist shill who believes every lie they tell you on CNN and MSNBC!
And you care NOTHING about the truth or justice, all you care about is denied Trump the opportunity to run for president again, because you're SO terrified of losing another election to him!

Have I told you lately what an idiot you are?
Just checking!

The system will not ever work again, if the losers send their electoral slates to the Vice President to be substituted for the winner.

Joe Biden and Kamala Harris could agee, that no matter the real vote, that on December 17, 2024 that enough alternate Democratic electors would meet in enough stares plus one more to have Kamala Harris on January 6, 2025 disregard the real votes and declare her and Joe the winners.

If they do that, they need to die in ADX SuperMax.

There can be zero tolerance for a conspiracy to steal an election. None. No matter the party.

**** that crazy ****.

Trump didn’t think he’d won New Mexico.

Nobody alive thought Trump won New Mexico.

Trump sent an alternate slate of Republican voters from New Mexico to Mike Pence.

The National Archives did not accept it as genuine, but it exists, and five good and true New Mexico Republicans signed it, and tried to certify it.

Ex Post Facto my ***.

It was a conspiracy to steal back a lost election.

Jesus **** Christ.

This Missouri Democrat elector stayed home December 14 and did not drive to Jefferson City.

The Republican electors in New Mexico went to Albuquerque.

God Damn.

I can tell you, that J C would have dearly loved to cast a Missouri vote for Biden in 2020.

But since Biden lost Missouri he stayed home.

Those Republicans in New Mexico should die in prison, so all the J C’s never think about committing treason.

Do you understand Joe Biden could declare himself King if you use your logic?
