Don't know what "bro-country" is and never heard of this guy until the progressives started crying about this song. As far as country music in general most of the main stream country has always been crap although I think it's gotten worse over the years. I went to see Willie Nelson back in the early 80's but I don't know anything about those other three you mentioned.
Back in the day, I saw Johnny Cash, Jerry Reed, Roy Clark, Charlie Daniels and a few others who were country. Always wanted to see Merl Haggard but never got around to it.
