I'm concerned for CP's safety, all those years he spent in truck stop bathrooms has definitely earned him some enemies. The bounty placed on his hide published on the dark web is quite impressive.

I don't believe he's entirely put off by a pole smoker per se, but he does not seek the pole smoker.
So in his case I think using the word 'queer' would be in the archaic use like odd or weird.
