Kennedy had won in 1960 by what he thought was only Illinois, until an Hawaii recount added that to the total.
His death turned Camelot into legend.
I can’t see Biden getting killed any more than a tragedy. There is no cult of Joe Biden and will not ever be one.
But if Trump got killed he’d become immortal, worshiped by millions, his name on streets and ships and his face on the currency.
His followers literally stormed the Capitol a hundred thousand strong to keep him in office.

The world is set up, so that if Trump died on the golf course tomorrow of a heart attack, the New York Times would publish an obituary of him where he’d look like he had the wings of an Angel.
But if the Secret Service failed to protect Trump his assassination would spark a Justice Thomas Commission. Sixty years from now over half the population would still think it was a conspiracy.

U.S. District Court Judge Reggie B. Walton sentenced Johnson to prison on Friday, saying Johnson made "a mockery" of the events by grabbing Pelosi's lectern and played an active role in the attack. Walton said he just couldn't overlook Johnson's behavior, which he said was deserving of a period of incarceration. Johnson will get credit for some time he's already served, and will also pay a $5,000 fine.
Johnson, speaking to the court on Friday, said he'd been "nothing but cooperative" with the government since his arrest, and said his actions demonstrated that he was apologetic and was "ashamed" to have been a part of the Capitol riot.
