Judge sides with TRUMP on DISCUSSION of "Discovery" issues during Political Campaign...

Judge Tanya Chutkan said that prosecutors did not provide good cause for all discovery materials to be subject to the protective order — adding that she would “not factor into my decisions how it will factor into a political campaign.” Chutkan ultimately sided closer to the Trump team’s position, which argued that only “sensitive” materials, like grand jury documents, be out of bounds for Trump to discuss.

“Mr. Trump, like every American, has a First Amendment right to free speech,” she said. “But that right is not absolute.”

GREAT NEWS for Trump... as he will NOW be able to speak more freely, and keep America AWARE of the FLIMSY case and charges that the prosecution has brought... HE WILL NOT be GAGGED... and kept from speaking about issues that WILL be identified during discovery !  WHICH, the prosecution wanted DESPERATELY !!

Judge Warns Trump of Earlier Trial If He Makes ‘Inflammatory Statements’
By Matt Stieb, Intelligencer staff writer

The federal judge overseeing Donald Trump’s election case said on Friday that the former president will be subject to a limited protective order barring him from publicly sharing sensitive information provided by the prosecution.

Prosecutors working for special counsel Jack Smith argued for a more restrictive order stopping Trump from sharing any information handed over in discovery, fearing that he would use the process for “political purposes” during the upcoming presidential election.

But Judge Tanya Chutkan said that prosecutors did not provide good cause for all discovery materials to be subject to the protective order — adding that she would “not factor into my decisions how it will factor into a political campaign.”

Chutkan ultimately sided closer to the Trump team’s position, which argued that only “sensitive” materials, like grand jury documents, be out of bounds for Trump to discuss.

Her compromise was to allow Trump to review sensitive grand-jury information without a lawyer looking over his shoulder. To stop him from taking pictures or making copies, the former president would not be able to bring his cell phone or any other device into the room. “Your client’s defense is supposed to happen in this courtroom, not on the internet,” Chutkan told Trump’s attorneys.

“Mr. Trump, like every American, has a First Amendment right to free speech,” she said. “But that right is not absolute.”

Chutkan, who has handed down severe sentences in prior cases related to the Capitol riot, warned Trump’s attorneys that an earlier trial may be necessary if their client makes “inflammatory statements” that could potentially taint the jury pool. “I will take whatever measures are necessary to safeguard the integrity of these proceedings,” she said

As I keep saying Trump may likely put himself into the jail cell......

Now that the 14th amendment article 3 states that Trump cannot be on the ballot and conservatives are pushing that. Not only that states can remove any candidate that participated in Jan 6th from the state ballot.

Things are getting more interesting as Trump has blown it all by himself by not stepping back ......... what a fool.

Them there homo sex y’all loving groomers have Trump boxed in.

The stupid mother **** refused a deal.

So Jack Smith assembled 11.4 million pages of documents and several terabytes of video to keep his lawyers busy billing him for going over it at a cost of over $500 an hour, at least, per lawyer.

The dim bulb confuses the idea he was justified by voter fraud with Smith’s allegation his belief in non existent voter fraud was his motive to conspire with six fruit loop crazy conspirators to request Mike Pence to not count the actual votes, but count Trump’s votes, or just delay the proceedings 10 days.

Trump’s lawyer admits all over Fox his client is guilty of obstruction of the official proceedings.

The jury pool is 96% home brothers and sisters who work for de gubbermint who aren’t able to avoid jury duty, who’ll all be given a free two month all expenses paid vacation.

Now old Trumpy gets to look at all the discovery but he can’t take any home.

What a trap for a fool.

He’s never going to keep bond conditions.  No way.

Honest, this is like watching the Titanic sail towards the iceberg, on the obstruction case.

I think the overwhelming majority of people realize that offering Pence a bribe or hookers or Cuban cigars would violate the obstruction statute.

But Trump allowed absolute whack jobs, against advice and warnings of every sober and sane person around him, to conspire with him to take a slate of seven states (including New Mexico where he’d lost by 11 points) and try and file those with the National Archives.

Jesus Christ in the morning.  Think of all those electors in seven states Smith gets to call as witnesses.

It is a horrible crime to be the President and request your Vice President to overturn the real votes and use your votes,  or even delay, the counting of electoral votes.  No bundles of cash or hookers or cigars needed, just the asking is enough.

Damn.

Will he plead at the last second or risk life in prison?

It feels like it should be a slam dunk… but Trump has an uncanny way of wiggling off the hook. I thought Mueller had Trump dead to rites but that fell apart quicker than a Jussie Smollett hate crime investigation. 🤷‍♂️

HA!!  NOT LIKELY !!

Jack Smith argued to STOP Donald Trump from sharing ANY information that might be handed over from "discovery"... which is the INVESTIGATIVE part of the preparation phase of the trial, where BOTH the PROSECUTION AND the DEFENSE can call and depose witnesses, and probe to get to the TRUTH)... Smith said, he "feared that Trump would use the process for “political purposes” during the upcoming presidential election."... SO.. LIKE the FBI AND DOJ bringing charges against the presumptive Republican candidate of the 2024 election... JUST before the primary season, and trying to DISRUPT that candidates ability to effectively campaign THRU-OUT the campaign...
IS NOT "using the process for “political purposes”" ???

But Judge Tanya Chutkan said that prosecutors did not provide good cause for all discovery materials to be subject to the protective order — adding that she would “not consider as part of her decisions, how it would factor into a "political campaign.” ....Chutkan ultimately sided closer to the Trump team’s position...

What conservatives never mention is the established fact Russia made a massive effort to help Trump get elected, by operations spreading fake news about Hillary, trying to hack into voting systems, and otherwise sowing fear, doubt, and mayhem.

—-
The Senate Intelligence Committee on Tuesday reaffirmed its support for the U.S. intelligence community's conclusion that the Russian government interfered in the 2016 presidential election with the goal of putting Donald Trump in the Oval Office.

—-

But Trump stayed isolated from all his goons that went to jail, like a mob boss.  There wasn’t a direct link to him.

Besides Mueller declined any charges because of Presidential immunity.  By now the statutes of limitation have expired on most everything.

What Trump forgets is the “Teflon Don” died in solitary at Marion prison.

The **** idiot had those seven slates of his electors try and file false votes with the National Archives.

That’s rather an attempt to obstruct an official proceeding by any definition of obstructing.

Russia gave money to the nra, blm and planned parenthood. Their obvious aim is to fragment the American electorate. They sought division and progressives gave it to them in spades. Money apparently well spent.

They sure did:

Soviet media has criticized racial inequality and violence in the United States since at least 1930s, often using this argument to deflect criticism aimed at the human rights abuses in the USSR, or to create a sense of false moral equivalency between the two states. Lynchings of African Americans were brought up as an embarrassing skeleton in the closet for the U.S., which the Soviets used as a form of rhetorical ammunition when reproached for their own economic and social failings. This became known as the "And you are lynching ******" argument, later described as whataboutism, and continued during the Cold War and beyond.[6][7][8][9]

Here’s the tragedy about the NRA.

For about 150 years they supported gun rights.

Today they are Trump supporters who own guns.

Why would gun owners support the guy who's against guns?
Of course they support Trump over Biden. Big **** surprise there...

If my only issue was my huge gun collection I’d vote straight Republican today.

But I’m a Christian, only. I support  public schools, and true freedom of religion before my guns.

When I was a Republican I put Ike Skelton’s bumper sticker on my car.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ike_Skelton

Ike’s position on gun control was NO.

And although a Democrat the man was a devout Christian, only.

I can’t imagine a true Christian being an NRA member today.  It’s nothing but the bottom of the barrel MAGAS who spin bull ****, fantasy stories that mass shootings are false flag operations of the Deep State, and thousands of similar right wing lies and fairy tales.

The NRA used to send me Ike Skelton bumper stickers.

 ——
Skelton was a member of the Christian Church and an honorary chieftain in Scouting's Tribe of Mic-O-Say. He was also of distant relation to Daniel Boone as well as to U.S. Representative Louise Slaughter of New York.[22]
