The ones I sense aren't ghosts I guess, that should be used for the unhappy ones, the hauntings.. spirit guides sounds good, they let me know when I'm about to do something dumb and they talk me out of it, not that they always succeed.. lol.. but they usually do, or when I should do something and I'm procrastinating.. I get that too, the chills on my arms and legs, not the heavines in my head.. I can also summon them if I want to, if I need advice.. well, maybe not summon them, they are always there but get their attention if I concentrate..AnnoyedLiberall » 25 Aug 2023, 11:34 am » wrote: ↑ I think they can be captured on CCTV.
Although I would be very cautious about labeling it a 'ghost'.
I get chills on my arms and legs, and a general heaviness in my head when they are trying to get my attention.
Of course you could also be feeling your spirit guides, who are trying to help you navigate this existence.
2 in 5 people are stupid and superstitious. Whatever gets them through the day without breaking The Golden Rule is not a bad thing. If they believe something unseen is real enough to motivate themselves, it can't be any worse than compassion, empathy, etc. Of course, hate and resentment are in that mess too. That's why The Golden Rule is a good to have around.Bruce » 15 Aug 2023, 11:37 pm » wrote: ↑ A new survey reveals 2 in 5 Americans believe ghosts exists, and 1 in 5 say they've actually seen a ghost.
YouGov surveyed about 1,000 adults and discovered not all Americans believe supernatural creatures are just comics and tall tales. About 43% of adults say they believe demons exists, and 8% to 9% said werewolves and vampires exist.

I keep my mind open about the unseen

I'd taken Peyote and Shrooms many times back in the day....AnnoyedLiberall » 28 Aug 2023, 2:01 pm » wrote: ↑ That's an interesting point.
Many cultures have used those things for thousands of years to enhance their spiritual experiences.
Some of those substances are sacred, and only shamans and healers are permitted to use them.
The reason they work is because they allow a person to get get into a flow zone.
Shut off the chatter of the ego, and let the spiritual come through.
Meditation works the same way.
I took mushrooms for the first time this winter. I was really nervous and I think I ruined the experience for myself.Kobia2 » 28 Aug 2023, 5:22 pm » wrote: ↑ I'd taken Peyote and Shrooms many times back in the day....
It was just something we did at parties, concerts, camping and such... But I agree that some of the best experiences were when I took them alone, put on some good mood setting music and let the mind wander....
One of the best things I liked about the Shrooms, was that they were natural --- you'd take a nice trip that wasn't out of control -- and that when you came down it was normally a gentle descent --- unlike LSD which often would having your heart racing and a major speed effect as part of the ride.. Mushrooms were mellow . Enjoy the ride ALAnnoyedLiberall » 29 Aug 2023, 6:59 am » wrote: ↑ I took mushrooms for the first time this winter. I am not a person who enjoys being high, and I was scared I was going to go crazy or something.
I have some left, that I will probably take soon. Hopefully I can just enjoy myself.
No. I lived in a Murder-Suicide house for years and never saw a ghost. Bought it from the dead wife's dad. The Husband, "Woody", killed his wife, Janet, and then killed himself. No ghosts. So, I surmise one of two things from this experience:
in my research I am learning that it's not a crazy high, but a gentle one that makes a person more self aware.Kobia2 » 29 Aug 2023, 7:13 am » wrote: ↑ One of the best things I liked about the Shrooms, was that they were natural --- you'd take a nice trip that wasn't out of control -- and that when you came down it was normally a gentle descent --- unlike LSD which often would having your heart racing and a major speed effect as part of the ride..
