During the sixties the liberals had riots against the Vietnam War that made George Floyd riots look like Sunday school picnics.

Gun accidents are down from the bad old days, too.

What has changed is today guns are primarily  regarded as deadly weapons for self defense.

In April 1968 when I got my long awaited Winchester Model 190 .22 semi auto self defense was the last thing it was made and marketed for.

I was ten, and had my own brand new Winchester rifle, made in New Haven Connecticut, USA!

 The rabbits and squirrels were in trouble!

You are correct that most guns are purchased for self-defense. That is self-defense against those who are the product of a liberal society which has lessened punitive measures for the criminal and made the lawful citizen more fearful of protecting themselves than the criminal is of committing the act.
And I highly doubt that the black inner-city shooting is in your little book of tallied gun crimes. That would be racisssss.

I remember- during the riots.. A black guy is driving thru- and they attack his car.
He opens the door and flies out. With only ONE MOVE- in a split second- He kicked the legs out from under the troublemaker- got on top of him and screamed? What did you say...!!!!!

When Kyle was through with the two attackers, I'm not absolutely sure, but I may have heard him yell "next!" For some odd reason, his audience fled.

Kyle was a  chubby child- a baby faced weirdo- There was something wrong with him and there still is!- He found himself a hero of the right...He got lucky! legally
If he had just ran past me on the street- having just killed somebody- i would have took a skateboard and tried to club him over the head too! And never gave it a thought! and asked questions later..anything to stop him-
and do not argue! -yes i know.... he killed some scum...
but like i told you guys once... sometimes things happen so fast- there is NO time to analyze the situation. its reaction time...
do not kill if you can help it!  just saying!

No, he went in with a first aid bag and fire extinguisher to help innocent people. The weapon was for protection. Yes, he was young, and it was a dangerous place for him to be, so he was legitimately cautious and prepared himself for what actually occurred. That is being rightfully and intellectually vigilant. Just like the police who wade into a violent "man with a gun" domestic situation. They are not being as you refer to as "weirdos" just because they put themselves in harm's way. Civilians have the right to step up and protect or save what is theirs and what belongs to their community. That is what Kyle did, and he set the standard for bravery, and may have given thugs second thoughts about ravaging Kenosha again. Making light of Kyle's build and facial features diminishes you, not him.
I'd have been happier if a few dozen scum bags attacked him, and he let loose with a 50-round drum magazine. It's time the nation eliminates more of our domestic threats like Kyle did. Biden certainly won't.
