That's the luxury of being a Liberal...
They can hear the unspoken -- quote the unwritten --- then base opinion & commentary on events which never occurred...

In a nice steakhouse tonight I was tempted to have a beer but my wife was with me and I didn’t want anyone to wonder why such a lovely woman was out with some old gray haired drunk who’d drink a beer in front of God and everybody.:)

There were little kids all over that steakhouse and most of the boozing seemed confined to drunks on barstools watching sports on television at the bar, but I saw some young mothers drinking beer right out of a can with their kids beside them.

When men drink that’s bad, but when mothers drink that just pitiful.

In a few minutes some Democrat friends of ours said hello as they were leaving and I’m so glad I didn’t order a Stag or Pabst and embarrass myself.

Isn’t anybody but me, ashamed to drink beer in public?

I'd be ashamed to be near you in public.

I was never embarrassed to be seen drinking Beer in public (though I was much more a Bourbon drinker), especially since I was usually picking up the tab.... Beer is the #1 alcoholic beverage on the planet.. There's lots of *** cocktails and trendy fru-fru swill out there that I would be embarrassed drinking --- or even being at a table with someone who was..
