Rein in or abolish = abolish is the only answer ........ the USA has too many courts. The Supreme can no longer be trusted. They use the right agenda as their guidelines.

The U.S. Supreme Court, whose current ideological leanings are extremely reactionary, has spearheaded a broad national regression on human rights. Indeed, the United States is a global outlier on multiple fronts (the only wealthy nation without a universal health care system and number one in firearms per capita, to name just a few), and some of the latest Supreme Court rulings (on abortion, guns and affirmative action) are turning the country into “a global pariah.”

How do we make sense of these utterly dangerous developments? First of all, why is the Supreme Court acting like the executive committee of the Republican Party? Are there even clean legal arguments upon which its rulings are based?

In this exclusive interview for Truthout, renowned law professor and anthropologist Khiara M. Bridges, who specializes in the intersection of race, class, reproductive justice and law, shares her insights into the issues raised above and offers some legal remedies that she believes will help achieve racial justice and equality in the 21st century.

Bridges is a professor of law at UC Berkeley School of Law. Her scholarship has appeared in scores of prestigious publications, including the Harvard Law Review, the Stanford Law Review, the California Law Review, the NYU Law Review and the Virginia Law Review. She is the author of Reproducing Race: An Ethnography of Pregnancy as a Site of Racialization(2011), The Poverty of Privacy Rights (2017) and Critical Race Theory: A Primer (2019). On July 12, 2022, Bridges testified before the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee about the fallout from the U.S. Supreme Court’s recent decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, which overturned Roe v. Wade.

At issue with Trump is Section 3 of the amendment, which bars from office anyone who, having previously sworn an oath to support the Constitution, has “engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof.

Stop that ****.

You sound all Trumpy.

Let’s all agree on Marbury vs Madison and never talk about reversing it.

—-
Marbury v. Madison, 5 U.S. (1 Cranch) 137 (1803), was a landmark U.S. Supreme Courtcase that established the principle of judicial review in the United States, meaning that American courts have the power to strike down laws and statutes that they find to violate the Constitution of the United States. Decided in 1803, Marbury is regarded as the single most important decision in American constitutional law.[1][2] The Court's landmark decision established that the U.S. Constitution is actual law, not just a statement of political principles and ideals, and helped define the boundary between the constitutionally separate executive and judicial branches of the federal government.

The ideological leanings of the Supreme Court are the only things holding democrats in check. Likely the only thing preserving the consent of the governed.

The Supreme Court will always reject any effort to nullify a constitutional election.

Without a Supreme Court the Constitution is not the law of the land.

That means Joe Biden, or Trump,  is Presidentfor Life.  Which ever one has the most bullets.

It means anarchy.

He should know better.

The Constitution is the framework of our laws and our one and only protection from a popular Dictator.

And as bad as Trump was, a popular Leftist Dictator would be millions of times worse.

Trump respected ALL private property.  A leftist dictator would not over a certain amount.

Trump pretended to be a Christian (hilariously) but at least he had  his childhood Bible, he’d never understood. A leftist Dictator with perfect knowledge of the Sermon on the Mount would destroy capitalism as we know it.

Eight learned lawyers plus affirmative action mistake Clarence Thomas safeguard our nation’s very existence because they call the balls and strikes over our laws.

Thomas is corrupt.  He should resign.  But he’s not going to live forever.

No more unqualified black justices just because of their color, ever again.

That doesn’t mean no more blacks, just the qualified ones,

The supreme court had no business deciding on Right to Choose or banning abortion.

The supreme court has no business deciding elections = these issue should ALWAYS come back to the voters.

Neither the Supreme Court nor the halls of congress should be telling the nation NO on single payer medical insurance for ALL. This too should decided by the voters.

The halls of congress should be investigating Voter Suppression, then passing it on to the DOJ who should call in the FBI for assistance then on to the courts for prosecution.

The Supreme Court should NOT be making decisions on the following issues = they are not qualified

Frankly I do not like how political parties resort to compromise extreme. It's time to put many issues such as these before the voters no matter the cost. I do not trust that many politicians on either side of the aisle at this point.

Any compromise should have the voters consent. I did not vote for anyone to cut deals that involves screwing:

1. Social Security

2. Medicare

3. Medicaid

4. Voters Rights

5. USPS

6. Woman's Right To Choose

7. Not paying National Debt bills on time as this could influence thousands of employees taking place as we speak and will definitely mess with the world wide economy.

8. The border and immigrants = the USA needs immigrant workers to have
successful customer service.

9. Public Education = as in ALEC defunding public education. ALEC should be busted.

Time to abolish the supreme court to prevent further abuse of voters and to squash the Supreme Court as a third party..... for either side of the aisle.
