But let us GRANT that some dick sucker got killed over a pride flag. 

How is that different than some skeeter getting killed over a klan flag? Both are extremist symbols of hate. The klan flag flew at lynchings; the pride flag flew in front of hateful crowds of extremists chanting, "We're here, we're queer, we're coming for your children."
