2017  $665    $671    3.4%
2018  $779    $1,2713   8%

2017 was Obama’s budget, passed in 2016.

2018 was Trump’s first, passed in 2017.

Whatever the specifics Trump assumed a 20 trillion debt and gave Biden 28 trillion.  

It’s history.  We owe it.  No use crying about it.

And nobody should blame Trump or Biden for Covid spending  

But can we agree we need to raise taxes a little and cut spending a little until we return to 98-01 surpluses again?
