Four state and federal prosecutors have indicted him for doing something wrong... three of them have indicted him for felonies.
******* hot plate.
the majority of senators is working fine for me. And the indictments by federal and state prosecutors are also working fine for me as well, hot plate.golfboy » 27 Aug 2023, 9:10 pm » wrote: ↑ I didn't lie, I was wrong, and admitted it. That's the difference between us. I have honor, you do not.
How'd that majority work out for you, Room Temp?

"US senators have acquitted the former US president on a charge of inciting an insurrection by his supporters at the Capitol building. After the verdict, Trump said his movement "has only just begun.
The US Senate voted 57-43 on the impeachment charge, which means that seven Republican senators voted to convict the former president.""
Maineman stated... " A majority of senators voted to convict him"maineman » 27 Aug 2023, 10:09 pm » wrote: ↑ excuse me...is English your second language, Pedro?
Is 57 a bigger number than 43????
idiot
Wow.GHETTOBLASTER » 27 Aug 2023, 10:46 pm » wrote: ↑ Maineman stated... " A majority of senators voted to convict him"
Ghettoblaster replied..."43 Senators is not a majority"
maineman » 27 Aug 2023, 10:52 pm » wrote: ↑ Wow.
totally stuck on stupid.
57 voted to convict and 43 voted to acquit.
67 votes are needed to remove from office.
WTF????
Were you giving head in the boy's room instead of attending ninth grade civics class???
moron.

@maineman played the skin flute. He mastered it by furthering his education in the Navy!! He had an Admiral as his subject.GHETTOBLASTER » 28 Aug 2023, 2:43 am » wrote: ↑ Ooops..I had forgotten about 2/3rds REQUIRED TO BE CONSIDERED A MAJORITY IN THE SENATE.
ANYTHING SHORT OF THAT IS NOT CONSIDERED A MAJORITY.
So when you say "A majority of Senators voted this way or that"..then the minimum amount of votes for your statement to be correct is 67.
The REAL MORON continues to be you if you still believe MAGA killed 5 cops, injured 140 more and could have overthrown the US Government with bear spray, fire extinguishers, flag poles and a firecracker.
Mommy must not have ever allowed you to play outside with the rough boys after violin practice...?
2/3rds is not "considered a majority in the senate". It is simply the number of members present who must be in concurrence to remove an officer . The Constitution doesn't have differing definitions of the word "majority" in different sections. Is English your second language?GHETTOBLASTER » 28 Aug 2023, 2:43 am » wrote: ↑ Ooops..I had forgotten about 2/3rds REQUIRED TO BE CONSIDERED A MAJORITY IN THE SENATE.

It doesn't matter whether or not they had the wherewithal to successfully overthrow the government. The crime was their attempt to do so. When you think about it....if they had actually been successful at overthrowing the government, there wouldn't BE any charges.GHETTOBLASTER » 28 Aug 2023, 2:43 am » wrote: ↑The REAL MORON continues to be you if you still believe MAGA killed 5 cops, injured 140 more and could have overthrown the US Government with bear spray, fire extinguishers, flag poles and a firecracker.
There was no attempt to overthrow the US Government.maineman » 28 Aug 2023, 8:01 am » wrote: ↑ It doesn't matter whether or not they had the wherewithal to successfully overthrow the government. And it didn't all happen just on January 6th. Fani Willis' indictment is very broad and very comprehensive and casts a wide net. Fake electors... manipulating voting machines... filing false documents... forgery... witness tampering...solicitation of violation of oath by a public officer, etc, etc. There is a lot of "there" there.
Ask yourself whether or not Rudy Giuliani will be willing to go behind bars to protect the clown who stiffed him on his legal fees. Ask yourself how many of the other 17 co-defendants will be itching to make a deal with Fani in exchange for immunity, or probation, or even just a shorter stretch in prison.
Yeah, and @maineman 's little CAKE sells it for a quarter a pop for a flat back!!

why would I bother? We both know you misused the word, and now you don't have the character to just admit it.GHETTOBLASTER » 28 Aug 2023, 10:11 am » wrote: ↑ Find an article that states a Senate majority voted to convict Trump.
cool opinion, math whiz!GHETTOBLASTER » 28 Aug 2023, 10:02 am » wrote: ↑ There was no attempt to overthrow the US Government.
All it took to snuff out the protest was to shoot dead 1 unarmed woman and to use riot control tactics like what is seen at a college Football game celebration that got out of hand.....
We both know you misused the term or else you would be able to find it used that way by professional journalists....maineman » 28 Aug 2023, 11:43 am » wrote: ↑ why would I bother? We both know you misused the word, and now you don't have the character to just admit it.
The Constitution does not require "a majority of senators" to vote to convict, it simply says "no Person shall be convicted without the Concurrence of two thirds of the Members present."
Anyone who understands the English language and basic arithmetic knows that 57 constitutes a simple majority of 100.
How can one MISUSE a word if one uses it exactly as it is defined??GHETTOBLASTER » 28 Aug 2023, 11:46 am » wrote: ↑ We both know you misused the term or else you would be able to find it used that way by professional journalists....
