She was breaking through a barrier that she and the mob had smashed. There was an armed law enforcement officer on the other side of the barrier pointing his weapon at her. He was standing in front of a door behind which were members of Congress who he was sworn to protect. He told her not to climb through the window. She ignored his orders and climbed through anyway. If YOU had been in her shoes, and if YOU were staring down the barrel of a weapon being held by a law enforcement officer ordering you to stand down and cease your incursion through the barrier, would YOU do it anyway? are you really that stupid? Floyd was breaking the law... Babbitt was breaking the law. Chauvin ALSO broke the law by kneeling on Floyd's neck and slowly killing him. Byrd did his job of protecting congressmen by shooting the first member of the mob to break through the final barrier between them and those congressmen. There was nothing illegal about Byrd's actions. Two courts of inquiry have found him innocent of any wrongdoing. One court found Chauvin guilty. Byrd got a promotion.
