The Republican Party is free to nominate whoever it wants.  The Secretary of State of the State of Maine will interpret the constitution of the State of Maine and the constitution of the United States to determine who will be placed on the ballot in our state.  Those two events are mutually exclusive.

I see, so how exactly can your state nominate Trump, if he's not on the ballot?

It's hilarious watching a Room Temp IQ struggle like this.

Republicans will still get to vote.

Wrong terminology.  They don't nominate him or not nominate him, they simply won't list him on the printed ballot, if the Secretary of State determines he is ineligible as per Section Three of the 14th Amendment.  Of course, there will be court challenges and it is far from a sure thing, but it certainly is a "thing" that is being talked about in many states, mine being one of them.

https://www.pressherald.com/2023/08/31/ ... on-ballot/

I personally think that, as the court cases start, all but the most koolaid soaked MAGA morons, such as yourself, will begin to fall out of love with the clown, but your party has such a non-existent "bench" that, even as a convicted felon, the clown will get the delegates he needs and he'll be an albatross around the necks of GOP candidates all down the ticket.

He has 36% +/- of the inbred electorate in his thrall, but that cannot get him to 271, IMHO.

Section 3

No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.

Some might say that what the clown did from the podium at the ellipse on January 6th certainly made the Proud Boys & Co. feel comfortable enough to try to overturn the election. Image

BREAKING: Undercover video of Nancy Pelosi’s daughter Alexandra discussing J6 where they discuss how:

-J6ers can’t get fair trial in DC

-Media overhyped it

-Need a new war to distract Americans

-J6 had “no guns, no plans…just people taking selfies”

-No actual insurrection

Glad you think so.

You're probably right, but I know that our SecState and AG are looking into it.  Again... I would argue that Trump's speech at the ellipse certainly made the Proud Boys feel comfortable enough to attempt to overturn the election results.

You are aware, are you not, that several people have already been CONVICTED of Seditious Conspiracy for their actions on that day?

Biden?

Too bad that 14th Amendment's conditions weren't met, isn't it?
All of that could have been resolved, if Jack Smith had just charged Trump  with inciting an insurrection, and proving it in court.
18 U.S. Code § 2383 - Rebellion or insurrection

Why was this law overlooked?

you're certainly entitled to your opinion.

As to your question... ask Jack.  He hasn't filled me in on his rationale.

No one wanted to overturn anything.....when the constitution of the state legislature's was circumvented by illegal means, it pissed a lot of people off.....couple that with outright voter fraud and you have what the protest was, angry people that escalated into angry demonstrations. That's all it was, anyone that thinks it was more than that simply is a partisan hack or a pansy nancy.

Democrats KEEP talking about:

1)  LAW & ORDER,
2)  ABUSE of POWER, and
2)  EQUAL JUSTICE UNDER the LAW !

BUT it's the Democrats who are BASTARDIZING EVERYTHING they CLAIM to SUPPORT !!

The LYING, DECEITFUL, CORRUPT, and CONTEMPTIBLE CRIMINAL Democrat Party MUST BE REMOVED from Power... Our REPUBLIC Depends on it !!
