The point is bcuz pedos are more abundant and more open than ever, a child must learn to protect themselves. 

Children are also taught how to protect themselves and to look for red flags when approached by strangers and people they know. 
 

Children haven't completely lost their sense of proportion, natural predators sense being preyed upon by their own kind until they begin preying on their own kind.

It is my unscientific belief that once someone has this compulsion, it can't be willed away. It is much like how some men are obsessed with large breasts. You may be able to put it on the back shelf but you can't make it go away completely. So if there is no way to remedy this problem.. the compulsion, not sure what jail time is going to do. Most crimes are not prosecuted. So if they have shown a lack of willingness or ability to control their compulsion by the time that they have a second conviction.. not sure when they will find a way to do so. There is no place in society for these types that lurk in the shadows.

The larger point is that pedophiles come in all sorts of size, shapes, and situations. Saying that trans folks and drag queens are 100% pedophiles and they are the only ones shows a distinct lack of worldly knowledge. My brother looks like the Jax Teller character from the TV show, Sons of Anarchy. Not what most people think of as the stereotypical pedophile. 

I am not religious at all but I had a bit of a "religious" experience that changed everything. I was trying to get over it and he needed a place to stay for 2 nights. Well. on the second night, he tried to impose his will on me in my own place. Long story made short, I confronted him while having a nail gun pointed at his head. He got real quiet and left, have not seen him since then (this was in fall 2008). It felt simply amazing, I will admit.

you're correct...most abusers are either family members or friends of family...
