Actually, I still don't know what would have been right.  The pervert baby-sitter was in the past.  If I thought the pervert still had access to the children, I like to think that I would have told the parents.  So, whatever he had the 2 kids do, which I will not repeat here, it was in the past.  Here's what I remember going through my mind:

• Would it have just hurt the kids more by getting the parents all worked up about something that happened to them in the past?  The two kids didn't seem to be concerned about it at all.
• I also worried about how I would be perceived if I repeated to the parents what the 2 kids told me.  I mean, how does a 16 year old boy tell the parents of 2 young kids (whom I hardly knew) the sick **** the pervert had them do?  It was shocking and unbelievable to me.
• On the other hand, those two kids probably needed some serious counseling, and did I deprive them of that by remaining silent?

I can't recall whether I discussed this with my own parents at the time.  I think I did, but I just don't remember.

In my case.. when I attempted to come forward years later, they told me to toughen up and that bad things happen. As for him, they knew of his terrible acts and still let him in the house since then. Not going to lie.. I had some serious resentment for years to come. I came forward because I did not want him to do it to his newborn son. Well, I got hushed and he continued his heinous ways. The mother wisened up and disappeared one day.
