I value uniformity in the military.  I applaud diversity everywhere else.  I’d like to think that I was always enlightened and accepting of other people’s choices, but my three adult kids brought me the rest of the way around.  Now… the only people I want to see run down by a bus - or, better yet, gunned down by a firing squad - are the MAGA MORON J6ers who seem willing to throw the Constitution itself under the bus to glorify their charlatan, con-man orange clown god.  I took an oath not to a country or to a governmental position, but to the Constitution and nowhere in that document does it mention hair styles.  It ain’t my circus and they ain’t my monkeys.

Your hearing is flawed.  You need to understand the difference between being aware of the existence of priorities, ideas, thoughts and opinions different from yours, and worrying about the existence of those differences.  Also, you need to be able to evaluate the importance of other people’s opinions to you based, in large part, on your opinion of the opinion-holders themselves.  You have given me no reason to value you or your opinion which is why I don’t.  I am not bitter and this certainly isn’t railing.

 I am actually the antithesis of bitter, CP…It’s 7AM…I’m in the lounge chair on the balcony outside my fantail stateroom on a cruise ship, drinking coffee, watching the Alaskan shoreline glide by, waiting for the sun to come into view and my wife to wake up and join me out here before we head to breakfast.  We dock in Juneau in a few hours and we’re going on a whale watching trip later this morning…then setting sail for Skagway this evening.  How could anyone be bitter in the midst of all that?  

Here comes the sun!  My wife is stirring and I gotta run.  Have fun doing whatever it is you do to put food on the table and a roof over your head on this workday Tuesday.  I’ll say hi to the humpbacks for ya.

What a cool day! We joined nine other couples from our cruise ship and went on a three hour boat ride around Shelter Island just north of Juneau. We saw harbor seals, a family of fat sea lions basking on a bell buoy, a pack of orcas, a pod of humpbacks, several bald eagles and ospreys, and even a large bull moose who came down near the shoreline in search of snacks…and several glaciers as well! And the amazing thing about the trip was that NONE of those nice people mentioned child grooming even once!
