(CNN) — Migrant crossings along the United States’ southern border are rising, reaching more than 8,000 apprehensions on Monday, according to a Department of Homeland Security official, straining federal resources and overwhelming already-crowded facilities.
In May, ahead of the expiration of the Covid-era restriction known as Title 42, US Customs and Border Protection encountered more than 8,000 people daily and had around 25,000 migrants in custody, raising alarm within the Biden administration.

CNN) — The Defense Department is ramping up resources at the US-Mexico border as officials describe a surge in border crossings in places including Eagle Pass, Texas, where the mayor has declared a state of emergency.
Some 800 new active-duty personnel are being sent to the border, where 2,500 National Guard members already are serving, Department of Homeland Security officials announced Wednesday night in a call with reporters.
The move comes as migrant crossings along that border are rising, reaching more than 8,000 apprehensions on Monday, according to a Department of Homeland Security official. That’s up from around 3,500 daily border arrests after the expiration in May of Title 42 triggered new consequences for those who cross the border illegally.

The Biden administration is catching a record number of illegal immigrants and deporting them.

And their orders are to destroy any barriers that Abbott has put in place to prevent illegals crossing and assist the 10's of 1000's of illegals to cross into the US. I am on of a kind and I leave behind fewer children than I had siblings. My children only added 1 grandchild. My family did its part to reduce future population growth already. all my previous related generation gaps are dead. One of my siblings is gone. From what I gather couple of her children are gone also.
I didn't come from a close knit family unit but we didn't part ways other than life took us in our own directions as evolving does naturally eternally separating ancestors adapting in space now one at a time.
full time commitment to staying balanced with eternally separated here now.

But civilized people follow the law.
Monday the Border Patrol caught 8,000 people attempting illegal entry.
Each one had to be processed. They were fed, given water, clothes and medical care if needed. Children were not separated from families. This is what civilized nations do. Trumpies would gas them like Nazis did. Do not pretend otherwise.
There are three possibilities for adults captured.
1. Prosecution. If they are prosecuted then they stay until the process is complete. Only criminals are prosecuted, a tiny fraction.
2. If the immigrant is intelligent they apply for asylum. When they do that the law says their claim must be adjudicated. The courts have ruled they stay until adjudication. Trumpies would gas them with the others.
3. For the majority of the thousands caught daily they are deported back to their nation of origin, usually on a plane.
Because **** Republicans will not revise the laws this is what must be done.
As many as the Border Patrol catch an unknown number escape through and once they get a few miles inside the USA blend in with the 11 (?) million other illegal immigrants and Republicans hire them to work for cash.
It’s a horrible human tragedy.
Any workable solutions short of the Fourth Reich?

sure. Don't need them. I understand where I came from and don't need reminded what I escaped the traditions of ignoring why I exist in the first place. Again, My family never lacked loving one another, I just didn't instinctively fit in the narrative.
