A few tattoos is fine IMO. My best friend is an example of someone who takes it too far. 75% of his body is covered in tattoos and has had multiple piercings.. tongue, ears, nipples, etc. He even tried the splitting of his tongue to become the second coming of Lizard man (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Lizardman_(performer)). A lot of money wasted on getting attention.
