First, movie extras were replaced by AI generated figures.  Then, three years ago, Warner Brothers joint ventured with Cinelytic, a startup in Los Angeles that uses algorithms and data to predict a film’s success before the film is made or even greenlit. But, not only that, Cinelytic is also engaged in creating AI generated content for Movies.

Now, jump forward several years, AI is replacing many minor characters in movies without the audiences being any the wiser.  The sudden rise of AI-enabled content-creation platforms has only widened the already enormous divide between entertainment unions and the industry’s largest employers. Generative AI — advanced computing platforms that can create new text and imagery based on reams of existing reference material.  It has been vilified by actors and actresses in the current labor standoff. Signs on the unions’ picket lines were replete with slogans denigrating AI as used in the Hollywood film industry.

I'm just hoping for less over-acting and more realistic performances from AI.  Plus, AI is less likely to go off on a rant about some stupid political ****.

Art and reality is comparing what people are willing to believe against people believing nobody can know how evolving works, when their body is evolving now adapting in space mutually timed apart since conceived specifically here as an ever changing form shaped by chromosomes of their ancestral lineage combined.

I am sure they can tell AI to include diversity and promote gender confusion. Writers are overrated and most are talentless hacks. AI can only improve writing.

I can't blame actors/actresses for fighting this. Not every actor makes $10 million per year.. lots of small time actors/actresses that struggle along and if they are replaced by AI.. their career is over. Simple self preservation. This is only the start though.. lots of professions are going to go by the way side and the folks working in them are not going to simply shrug their shoulders.
