Officers do not receive Honorable Discharges when they retire from active duty.  My commission is still valid.

And a free grammar lesson:  In the sentence above, the use of the word "a" before "simple" requires that the noun that "simple" modifies be singular, not plural.  You really should go back and get your GED.... it will help you get away from those minimum wage service industry jobs.
