There's nothing wrong with ANY politician telling his supporters to fight against a government that has failed them, and thousands of Democrats have stated the same things and more than what Trump spoke about that day.  The crowd listened peacefully, and only Trump haters like you found it "long winded" because it was NOT intended to influence or appease liberal dopes like you!  The riot had ONE CAUSE, and that was because Pelosi and Bowser REPEATEDLY REFUSED to accept the additional 10,000 security guards that Trump recommended was needed which would have prevented any incursion into the Capitol.

There were no facts of the mission, There was no mission.  Preemptively attacking China was not part of any planning document at the Pentagon.  Milley merely wanted to reassure China that America would not go off the rails in the final two weeks of the Trump administration.

The sample size for my class was my company... 31 guys... several of them were Seals who had mentored Admiral McRaven as he was coming up, and were APPALLED at Trump's treatment of him, others were life-long Scoop Jackson democrats who saw the value of a strong loyal officer corps.  Most of all, however, for whatever reason, my company had taken a hankering to John McCain.  His dad had given the commencement address at one of the classes above us, and we had routinely followed his son's travails.  ALL of us were sickened by Trump's disrespect of him.  Most of us were happily married men in long term relationships, and many of the wives present were quite vocal in their enmity for him.  For whatever reason, my company was pretty strongly Protestant Christian.  We had our own weekly Bible study and all of us attended Sunday Chapel services... some of us singing in the Chapel Choir.  To a man, all of us were really disgusted at the fake veneer of Christianity that Trump likes to wrap himself in when it is clearly false.  At our reunion, several guys talked about the desecration of communion that Trump did in Council Bluffs, Iowa in his first campaign, his disgusting photo op in front of St.John's Church in DC, and, also his serial adultery.  And even most of those who HAD voted for him in 2016 and 2020 were truly disgusted by his refusal to be a big boy and accept his loss culminating with J6.  I can't begin to speak for the other 35 companies from my class, but I can speak for mine.  Trump supporters were outnumbered two to one and their support was tepid at best.

2.  The riot had one cause:  Trump told them to go down to the capitol and fight like hell and get their country back and that is exactly what they tried to do.  The lack of national guardsman BEHIND the barriers did not magnetically draw the rioters to smash through those barriers seeking to hang Mike Pence and to stop the Constitutionally mandated procedure that would culminate in the inauguration of Joe Biden.  They did that all by themselves.  You're like the old black comic, Flip Wilson, "THE DEVIL MADE ME DO IT!!!!.  LOL

3.  Trump never conveyed that he was intending to attack China, he conveyed that he was becoming desperate and unhinged.  Milley gave no aid or comfort to the Chinese, he merely gave them a heads-up that wacky stuff might happen in the final two weeks of the Mad King's reign and that he would do his best to tamp it down.  China is no better off today because of that, but the WORLD is better off, because people everywhere know that calm and rational professionals are still running the US Military.

4. Milley wasn't trying to initiate a coup. He was simply giving China a heads-up that the inmates were off their meds and running the asylum but it would only last for two more weeks.

5.  This discussion isn't about a comparison between Biden and Trump.  It is about the right's refusal to acknowledge defeat and how that refusal has put our very democracy at risk.

I support abortion in the first trimester only unless medical complications arise at a later time that severely threaten the viability of the fetus or the health of the mother.  Lots of democrats feel the same way.... as do a good number of republicans.

Multiple ballots did not go to the same address, multiple forms used to request absentee ballots went to the same address.  I know I got three.  After I had filled one out and mailed it in, the secretary of state sent me one ballot back, and if I had tried to send in the other two, the cops would have knocked on my door.
