With a government shutdown only a couple days away, McCarthy faces a real insurgency from conservative Republicans who are demanding that governemnt be SHUT DOWN, until real deep budget cuts and agency eliminations are made to balance the budget. 

People like me will see this as a glorious victory for conservatives as long as the Democrats can find no clear path ahead apart from making deep, deep cuts.

The only agreement Republicans made with Democrats was to avoid defaulting on the national debt.  And, that was a bad deal. 

Right now, we have Democrats where we want them.  We can shut down the government and tell all of those federal furloughed employees to go get a real job working as scabs in the auto industry.  Start putting cars together so that Americans can buy affordable cars. 

There are THOUSANDS of agencies that could be shut down completely.  Here is just another tiny sampling:

• The U.S. Board on Geographic Names
• The Office of Strategic Plans
• The Human Factors and Behavioral Sciences Division
• The Office of General Counsel
• The Office of Professional Responsibility
• The Bureau of Outdoor Recreation
• Brand USA
• The Federal Theatre Project
• The United States Life-Saving Service
• The Board of Tea Appeals
• Office for Human Research Protections
• Millennium Challenge Corporation
• Natural Resource Conservation Service
• The Rural Electrification Administration

I agree with shutting down the War Complex.  Russian's war complex.  I'd nuke the **** out of Russia and assassinate Putin. That would shut it down.

They should have been working on this all year. Letting the government shut down will be blamed on conservative Republicans. Even if that isn't entirely true, democrats control the media. They will get the blame.

That's because the House republicans are too **** stupid to figure it out (mostly the small group that basically refuse to negotiate within the caucus.  They need to lock themselves in a room and come up with a piece of legislation they can all support and vote for it as a block on the floor.  I know nobody will be happy about it, the five idiots want to go too far McCarthy doesn't want to go far enough...tough ****, that's how the game is played.  After their legislation passes on the party line vote, send it to the Senate.

Everyone knows the Senate will never accept something like that, but then the voters will know the House passed something and the Senate is doing nothing.  Guess who controls the Senate.  If a shutdown happens then, a 6th grader could sell the shutdown is because demonrats in the Senate refused to pass something that could send both chambers into a conference committee.

• We have an adulteress for a First Lady (Whore) who is running the show.  No one really knew who she was, what she is or that she is the one calling the shots for brain-dead Joe
• We have an African Lesbian Clown who is supposed to be a Press Secretary but never says anything of substance and never answers the People's Questions, obfuscates, obstructs and deflects in the most opaque presidency in the U.S.'s existence.
• We have Joe-Idiot throwing money at Ukraine, other countries, and at nonsense programs like an F-ing drunken sailor on meth and crack.
• We have a Justice Department, FBI, CIA and Secret Service that are all trying to cover Crooked Joe's illegal activity and their own illegal activities.
• We have stolen elections and election fraud.

So, tell me, what part of ^^^^^^ do we want our tax-money funding.  SHUT THE CORRUPT PIECE OF **** DOWN, AND DO IT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have no problem shutting down those things.  However, I do have a problem not paying those that must continue to work during the "shutdown"...like the military, TSA, food inspection, Health and Human Services, etc.  I understand they get back pay when things are settled, but they shouldn't be punished because idiots on both sides of the aisle can't work together. Besides, regarding your list (in order):  The Executive Branch isn't going away.  The spouse of the President always has a lot of influence, and always will.  Just because you don't like the WH Press Secretary is a stupid reason to shut down the government...grow the **** up.  Lastly, until someone can PROVE there was enough fraud to flip the outcome of enough states to change the outcome of the EC vote, quit whining about something that happened three years ago.  Pass legislation and take steps that will keep it from happening again, but you cannot change the past.  You can either whine or lead...the choice is yours.

There are, IMO, far too many people (in every political party) that don't understand the government can only function when the "majority party" (the one controlling the House and/or Senate) work under the incrementalism approach.  Nobody is EVER going to get everything they want in one fell swoop.  Thinking that is possible only proves the person is an idiot.  Remember the answer to the question "How do you eat and elephant?" is "One bite at a time".

Just my thoughts...your opinion may vary.

Furlough everyone.  I don't care.  Tell them they are not getting paid until the budget is balanced, and if that's a problem for them let them find jobs elsewhere.

It is morally, ethically, fiscally, and financially wrong to run a government when you simply don't have the money to pay for it.  How can you possibly rationally state otherwise?

But the budget will not be balance anytime soon.  You need to live in the real world.  The country must continue to function.  I don't disagree that spending need to be cut...and really cut in actual dollars spent, not the make believe cuts politicians talk about.  However, you need to be adult and realistic enough to understand the reality of the world.

It can be.  But, it means releasing a lot of worthless people who work government jobs that we do not need.  Notwithstanding this, it is what our Government owes, WE THE PEOPLE.

I live in the real world.  And, in the real world, we can shut the government down until it at least balances the budget. Running continued deficits is wrong.  It's time to stop.

The country must continue to function.

No.  I've heard what you are saying all of my adult life.  Nothing ever gets done.  The deficit widens every year and the debt just gets bigger and bigger. I want politicians who stand their ground against this.  I want government shrunk by at least 50%.  That's what I want, and I purposely support and elect people who carry my same vision.
