You need to embrace cultural diversity like maineman did.....while you were repulsed, he had the time of his life, notwithstanding the oversized butt plug he has to use the rest of his life.

After I did my time in the Army I worked as a civilian for a DoD Contractor that installed and serviced communications gear on Navy ships and subs. 
All over the world.
The quality of life / standard of living on one of those floating sardine cans that maineman thinks is so great...... is very cramped and  pretty disgusting.
The drinking water quite often tastes like diesel and many of the "sleeping berths" are within arm's reach of the "****". 
Whenever they are docked is when massive amounts of gritty, grimy repair and remodeling work is done. Imagine being held captive in a hot and smoky confined area  all day with grinding, pneumatic chipping, welding / cutting torch and toxic painting being done all day every day...?
Maybe the Navy has fewer ****** than the Army though....
