             Did the Democrat Bitch Madeline Albright say the "Death" of 500,000 Iraqi children as result of Sanctions imposed on the Saddam Regime after after the Gulf War would be worth it?  --- you bet.

             Did 500,000 Iraqi children actually die as result of the sanctions? ---- No, not even remotely close.. This 500,000 number came from a survey compiled by Unicef, in conjunction with the Saddam Regime's Ministry of Health..... The methodology of the study was greatly flawed, and thoroughly disproven ---- in fact, there was little  change at all in Iraq's Infant Mortality Rate after the Sanctions had been imposed after the Gulf War... 

              People also forget how Saddam manipulated the "Oil for Food Program", where Iraq was permitted to sell Oil on the Market to raise cash for humanitarian needs of their people..... $2 Billion was diverted from such purpose to build additional Presidential Palaces for Saddam ( he had over 80 of them) , and another $1 Billion was sent to Palestinians to help fund the Intifada.

Moreover, it emerged that some miscarriages and stillbirths had been wrongly classified as child deaths in 1995."The child mortality rate suggested by Zaidi's 1996 survey (38 per 1000) was less than one-fifth that of the 1995 figure (206 per 1000).  Zaidi remained concerned about humanitarian conditions in Iraq, but forthrightly acknowledged a problem of replication,[9] hypothesizing at the time that "an accurate estimate of child mortality in Iraq probably lies between the two surveys." She later told Michael Spagat: "My guess is that 'some' Iraqi surveyors recorded deaths when they did not take place or the child had died outside the time frame but they specified the opposite."   

     2017 study in The BMJ described "the rigging of the 1999 Unicef survey" as "an especially masterful fraud".   The three comprehensive surveys (using full birth histories) that have been conducted since 2003—namely, the 2004 Iraq Living Conditions Survey (ILCS), which was initially discounted by the Volcker Committee for finding far fewer child deaths than expected, and the Multiple Indicator Cluster Surveys (MICS) carried out by UNICEF and Iraq's Ministry of Health (MOH) in 2006 and again in 2011—all found that the child mortality rate in the period 1995–2000 was approximately 40 per 1000, which means that there was no major rise in child mortality in Iraq after sanctions were implemented.   As a corollary,

BEIRUT — During the rush to wage war in Iraq in the early 2000s, one figure widely cited both to justify and oppose the U.S.-led invasion was that more than 500,000 children had died as a result of U.N.-imposed sanctions in the previous decade.Nearly two decades later, researchers at the London School of Economics have concluded that the figure simply wasn’t true.Instead, child mortality figures provided to the United Nations were deliberately doctored by Saddam Hussein’s government to discredit the international community, the researchers said in a new report published by the British Medical Journal of Global Health.

“The government of Iraq cleverly manipulated survey data to fool the international community,” the report said, describing the figure of 500,000 deaths as “a massive fraud.” “Unfortunately, however, the more mundane truth that has emerged has received much less attention than the original spectacular lie.” “The data were evidently rigged to show a huge and sustained — and largely non-existent — rise in child mortality,” the authors concluded. “The objective of Saddam Hussein’s government was to heighten international concern and to get the economic sanctions ended.”The authors cite three subsequent U.N. studies carried out in the 2000s on the basis of independent research as evidence that the original report was flawed. Yet although the United Nations has subsequently disproved its own survey, it has not sought to correct the record, the authors said.

My statement that Hamas spends money on Gazans has nothing to do with whether they are "swell fellows" or not.  If Hamas were total ****-heads to their Gazan countrymen, they wouldn't last very long. There's a reason that many Palestinians embrace and support Hamas.
