Like I said in an earlier post.... This **** should have stopped on a Dime back in the 70's, when OPEC brought us to our Knees under Carter.... We should have been drilling and building refineries like mad after that happened --- yet here we are decades later still refusing to deal with it.

Oil prices are frozen due to something called the futures market. Companies buy oil now for delivery in the future. It's mainly instated to keep speculation to a minimum for oil. If it was sold immediately you can imagine how quick the price could change. Some still speculate and it is the same system used for other commodities like wheat.
Nothing is easier than defending the status quo.

I used to like Carter...I don't anymore. Carter went along with the Russian collusion hoax. That ended it for me.
