And I agree that Israel had no choice. However, there are instances, such as the example I showed, that they deliberately hit civilians as a retaliation for them hitting theirs.

Doesn't happen.  Hamas is notorious for launching their unguided bombs from civilian population centers, notably hospitals and schools. Return fire is automated. Civilian casualties result.
