High schoolers in Oregon won't need to demonstrate basic competency in reading, writing or math in order to graduate for at least five more years because, according to education officials, such requirements are unnecessary and disproportionately harm students of color.
At some point … our diploma is going to end up looking a lot more like a participation prize than an actual certificate that shows that someone actually is prepared to go pursue their best future, former Oregon gubernatorial candidate Christine Drazan told Fox News...

In many demographics the whole Public School system looks like one big ****-dipped Participation Trophy..
What message are they trying to send to the kids?..... Don't bother striving, working hard, competing or trying to excel --- because everyone gets the same outcome regardless of talent or effort... Just another example of Leftist assholes implementing a reward system for failure & laziness, at the expense of those who actually earn and deserve achievement.

When I went through school ----- there was no confusion as to who the boys or girls were.... And there was definitely no **** doubts who was in control of the classroom....

Here in Florida, I've seen DeSantis along with the support of Parents trying to implement changes & solutions ---- and attacked & sabotaged every step of the way.... Florida kids are being gaslighted and molested by school officials. When those school officials start going to jail for it, I will revisit my critique. There are laws on the books being broken routinely. The only way that can happen is if those laws are not being enforced.

But I do know the Democrats through their control of the Public Education system are far more responsible for the decline in our Public Schools... There's countless examples where they have put protecting Teachers before educating the Children...

What public schools ARE becoming expert at is the acceptance of the liberal/communist agenda that teachers and school boards are indoctrinating our kids with. And there is no better example than the overwhelming anti-semitic protests being expressed at the pro-Palestinian demonstrations being exhibited at so many of what was once our best high schools and college campuses I never thought I'd see the day when so many Americans would support such terrorism as Hamas has done. And that's not to ignore the simultaneous damage they've done to kids in the way they promote the tranny agenda of the far left.
Trump's plan to end the reign of the Dept. of Education is surely the first best step he can make, especially if it's followed up with real school choice and the expansion of vouchers for non-governmental private and parochial schools. Trillions have been thrown at public school education since Jimmy Carter created it, and the result that NO ONE can argue with is that kids have gotten dumber over the last 40 years as a result.
