And I defy anyone who has ever worked in HR and seen for themselves how urban youths have been graduated without the fundamental ability to spell, write, do math, or read with any sufficient comprehension.  Worst of all, the conditions of such illiteracy I was personally exposed to took place 20 years ago, and I believe public education (at least in our Democrat-run cities) has been degraded much further since then.  It was both pathetic and sad to read a job application or resume submitted by most minorities who actually believed that their graduation from high school indicated that they were worthy of getting a decent job.

I can just see the requirements for job application will be nothing but tests.  Don't need to know the stinking school you attended, doesn't matter.
Just take a couple of tests.If you got sense enough to read!

around 1976, I worked with a guy fresh out of trade school for machinist...a black kid from Philly...what say you @MackTheFinger  ?   

His main issue was he smoked a lot of pot...I went out one time with him for lunch...I had two tokes while he smoked 2 joints...I was so friggin' paranoid, I never enjoyed it...

that guy was so wasted, he was quite non functional...and this was a daily thing...he was as worthless as tits on a boar... 

we were a job shop and made precision parts...and there were a lot of problems with his parts, IE out of tolerance, IE not saleable, IE scrap...

Gary, the guy who trained me was now training him...they had lots of discussions and the kid would always say, "but I gots da books!" and subsequently pull out his trade school machining manuals from his toolbox...

he had the books, but no smarts...

after a few months, Gary convinced him to go back to Philly to his pregnant girlfriend...   the writing was on the wall...

Pendergrass would only say that Watson was a casual acquaintance. It appeared to Watson that the cause of the crash was a mechanical error in the car, and that possibly someone had tampered with the brakes. The car hit a guard rail, crossed onto the oncoming lane, and hit two trees. No other cars were involved. The impact jammed the doors, trapping them for almost an hour until both were freed. While Watson walked away from the collision with minor injuries, Pendergrass had a spinal cord injury, leaving him a tetraplegic, paralyzed from the chest down;=12.5px he never walked again.

In my factory business in a mid-sized city, I'd get several job applicants every week, mostly from young men fresh out of high school.  Even though their lack of education was quite sad, I'd often find the responses to many of the questions to be hysterical, clearly showing a complete lack of understanding as to what virtually any job entails.  Few high schools ever provided a course on how to apply for a job, fill out an application, construct a resume, or prepare themselves properly for an interview, preferring instead to instruct them on racial inequality and victimhood.  And that was before the "gender studies", drag queen performances, critical race theories, climate change, and teaching them a biased history and reasons to hate their own country as are being done in the last 20 years.

And I don't see it changing any time soon!

What public schools ARE becoming expert at is the acceptance of the liberal/communist agenda that teachers and school boards are indoctrinating our kids with.  And there is no better example than the overwhelming anti-semitic protests being expressed at the pro-Palestinian demonstrations being exhibited at so many of what was once our best high schools and college campuses I never thought I'd see the day when so many Americans would support such terrorism as Hamas has done.  And that's not to ignore the simultaneous damage they've done to kids in the way they promote the tranny agenda of the far left.

Trump's plan to end the reign of the Dept. of Education is surely the first best step he can make, especially if it's followed up with real school choice and the expansion of vouchers for non-governmental private and parochial schools.  Trillions have been thrown at public school education since Jimmy Carter created it, and the result that NO ONE can argue with is that kids have gotten dumber over the last 40 years as a result.

            I mentioned on another thread that Parents are very foolish to believe once their kid steps on the School Bus in the morning, that they are not  responsible in playing a role in their child's education or aware of what is happening in the classroom... 

            The Teacher's Union is all about power, and protecting their members.... It's really little different than many other corrupt labor rackets .. It's good that you mention Vouchers, as this brings to mind some of the colossal hypocrisy regarding them and the Teacher's Union (who adamantly oppose them)... Just a couple months ago we learned the Negro Chicago Teachers Union President Stacy Gates, who publicly cried that Vouchers for Parents to send their Child to better schools were RACIST ---- but she herself pulled one of her own children out of Public School and put him in Private "Catholic" School, because she believes the Public School couldn't provide the quality education her son deserved ... What the **** about every other Parent who wants the same for their kid?....

                 Not only do they lack the ability to write, spell or do basic arithmetic ---- many of these young adults who are products of the Democrat run Urban Public Schools cannot even speak proper English..... And rather than remove Ghetto Ebonics as their primary language, we have seen efforts by some on the Left with help from friends in Academia to legitimize this bastardized mode of communication... 

                
      




 

Considering that just a couple hundred years ago Sub Saharan  ****** were taken by force from a Stone Age Jungle Savage existence where many tribes had no written language and spoke with "clicks, squeaks, chirps and grunts"...
So they have come a long way thanks to their exposure to the more intellectually evolved races of man and of course thanks to the opportunities they were given to cross breed with the more intelligent races.

       It really is remarkable how our society and education system has devolved to where what can only be described as Super-Charged Ebonics is considered some type of performance art, or debate format to articulate a viewpoint on a subject ...
