That's only the people in the education system itself. Hiring someone that has worked as an engineer in the filed would be ideal to teach math and physics.

That's what this country needs more than ever .....a return to a balanced society that has no room for extremes. ....

1. Fire everyone. The superintendents, admins, teachers, etc...
2. Throw away every curriculum and start over. 
3. Hire experts in the field, not education specialist from colleges. 
4. Clearly draw the line between the purposes of a school vs the purpose of the family. The school should never take on the responsibilities of the family. It's the families problem to deal with their kid's behavior, their kid's drama, their kid's mental health, their kid's attitudes, etc....The school is only responsible to educate. Nothing else. Period. This will decrease the parents pawning their kid off on schools to raise them. Any admin that tolerates these behaviors should be immediately fired on the spot. 
5. The curriculums should be research based. This is a whole different conversation.
6. Most schools look like prisons. This has a mental effect on how we learn. Redesign the buildings to look more comfortable and inviting. 
7. Juniors and seniors should be required to do a paid internship somewhere in the community. They need work experience and learn how the real world works. 

Obviously this is a more simplified version, but it's a start.

However, end of Empire is at hand.  Every aspect of American life is crumbling.

We needs whats coming.  We deserve whats coming.

Maybe we can come out the other side a more humble people.
Still a great nation, but not a brutal bloodlusting Hegemon.

Before you can do any of that .....
The  AFT and The National Education Association ....The two largest unions in the country would have to be busted .....
It's those Unions that created this mess in the first place .....

Yeah, that's a problem. The only thing I can think of is to cease all federal funding until they disband for good. The parents will eventually tell them to get lost.

and those responsible deserve what's coming but what of the rest that don't deserve what's coming .....?
and will those that deserve what's coming actually suffer the same fate as the rest of us ?
And will there be anything resembling a nation when we do finally come out the other side ?

The rain falls on the good and the evil.
I was trying to sound somewhat positive, but 
the evil in the US is only gathering momentum, its just the beginning.
 

Schools are certainly one source of the many problems facing the country. When the curriculum was dumbed down so anyone could pass, pretty soon the graduates were becoming the teachers and the inevitable happened. Mediocrity breeds mediocrity.....and the culture started falling like domino's. I see no fix to the problem I've outlined, to suggest it would label a person all kinds of bad things.

Accept how evolving actually happens. Genetics eternally separates the reproductions already alive since conceived since inception of this species native to this unique atmosphere.
