Numbers do not lie.. the production is up. however, if you were to look at qcew data by state (yes, it would be quite the task), you would see that jobs tied to naics 211100 Oil and Gas Extraction are not rising all that much. They have remained fairly steady in Texas, Oklahoma, Montana, and North Dakota. Those states dominate oil and gas extraction employment.
