I am not at all surprised to learn that talented directors have abandoned that ship. Nor am I surprised - especially in the wake of Old Country's success - that another hero's journey is underway. Well now it is in pre-production with John Hillcoat directing.
He directed McCarthy's The Road. Im glad you brought it up
cuz it gave me reason to research and learn more about it.
