living in Fredericksburg, TX, about
30 miles from Kerrville. Thats the
heart of the TX hill country. As a kid
I was fairly disinterested other than

The Willie event is the 4th of July Picnic.
Held in MANY places since the mid 70s.
We went once in the 90s when it was held
in Luckenbach, TX. Parking, walking, drunks,
....a nightmare. Only thing worth the trip was
Kris Kristopherson...Me and Bobby McGee. GLORIOUS!

My brother smoked a joint with willie in Luckenbach.
I went to Kerrville about 2006. It was wall to wall undercovers and meth heads - a real **** horror show. I left the camp site and slept in the **** car. I was sure I was gonna have to shoot one of the meth heads, one way or another. They were off the **** hook.
