Immigration reform for the GOP is the newest version of Roe v. Wade.  Something they can get their base all jacked up about and never actually do anything about.  If they ever DID pass the sort of draconian reforms their candidates talk about on the campaign trail, the effect would be just like Dobbs.  They went from seeing Roe v. Wade be their cash cow for fundraising and base mobilization to now having Dobbs doing the exact same thing for the democrats.  If these morons got what they wanted and all the illegal immigrants were deported out of farm states, the country would STARVE because there wouldn't be any produce on the supermarket shelves... and us democrats would hang that right around the GOP's neck.
