I agree 100%.  I'm about done with sports.  FSU got screwed over completely.  I don't even like FSU, but they got F-ed.

Michigan/Alabama will be a far better game than Michigan/FSU would have been.

Michigan would have destroyed FSU.

FSU is undefeated.  While they lost their 1st string QB, their 2nd string rose to the occasion.  I don't think they would have been destroyed by Michigan.  Doesn't matter, because Michigan will likely be destroyed by Alabama.  Those northern mid-west boys can't compete with the South Eastern Plantation conference.

College football is won by the team with the best quarterback, he can overcome the weaker positions on his team......FSU was down to their 3rd string QB, while FSU has some good players they wouldn't have the same impact as a quality QB. Michigan has been an over achiever all year, it's hard to call that game since Alabama has a QB that's erratic as hell, looks great sometimes.....not so much in others. Washington has the best QB of the 4, but also plays in a weak conference.

I think it could go to any team in the playoff.

If nothing else this emphasizes the need for an eight team playoff schedule, which is what the BCS should have gone with right out of the gate.

The simple fact that you have more than four conferences in the league should have required at least an eight team schedule.

It's only one extra weekend of games over what they currently have, so it's not like they are reinventing the wheel or anything.

4 games, 2 games, Championship.

There will always be someone complaining.  The selection criteria clearly states the committee can consider injuries.  And, they are tasked with selecting the best four teams right now.  They look at several factors, strength of schedule, overall record, head-to-head matchups, common opponents, etc.  As explained on the selection show Saturday...the committee ranks the top 25 teams.  They then seed the top three, and re-rank the remaining teams.  That means the fourth spot came down to Alabama, FSU and Georgia.  It is difficult to argue Georgia is better than Alabama when Alabama just beat them on a neutral sight.  That leaves Bama and FSU.  FSU is undefeated, but the majority of their wins were with a QB that is out for the season (in essence, the team has gotten worse).  The FSU strength of schedule ranks 55th and the combined records of their opponents was sub .500.  Their "biggest win" was against LSU in the first week of the season.  Alabama's strength of schedule ranks 5th, their only loss was to the team ranked #3 and they just beat the #1 ranked team in the country.  As much as I feel bad for FSU...the committee did select the four best teams right now (using the stated criteria).  It's no consolation, but next year the "tournament" expands to 12 teams.

I heard they are going to a 12 game play-off next year.  Not sure how that would work.  I like the 8-team schedule better too, as it makes more sense to me.

Do away with conference playoffs and create a one month tournament in December. December madness during the holidays kind of like Basketball around Easter.

Sports working time of arrival and departure everyone waiting for a second coming and every year another antichrist appears.

I'd rather this go in the other direction.  Go back to conference championships and arbitrary bowl games. Let the end of the year stats say who is #1.  This is starting to look too much like the NFL.

Then you end up with three or four undefeated teams, all claiming to be the champion... which is why they went with the playoffs in the first place.

😂

There's something fun about 3 undefeated teams all claiming to be national champs.  The "resolution" just serves to burst the bubbles of thousands of people.  Its a game, fantasy - more fun for the whole family the way it used to be.

ok. sounds good. Won't happen anymore than my idea, or this species stops denying how evolving actually works naturally here.
