A father figure using the term "ladies" towards a group of young men to cajole them seems sexist... so the progressive mindset is to instantly find fault with it any way they can.

He was not referring to women. He was referring to MEN - as women. Sarcastic emasculation among men has been a thing since men were a thing. It has never been an insult to WOMEN to emasculate a MAN.
