The Right is saying this country girl is being weaponized against them.
I like her.

Taylor Swift's ‘Time' Cover Is Breaking Far-Right Brains (msn.com)

Time magazine declared Taylor Swift as 2023's person of the year on Wednesday, and accompanied the announcement with a rare interview from the artist in which she reflected on the year of her career that truly put her on top of the world. Unsurprisingly, right-wing commentators took the opportunity to interpret Swift's well-earned success to launch into a conspiracy theory bender.Swift, who has publicly aligned herself with the pro-choice movement and declared her opposition to former President Donald Trump, has become the ire of a vocal group of conservatives hell-bent on the bizarre notion that the singer is a political weapon aimed at the upcoming presidential election. End of Wokeness, a far-right account with nearly 2 million followers, credited Swift with having enough rizz to convince a "cult-like following" to "drink poisoned Kool Aid for her." In the same post, the account prophesied that the singer-songwriter's next step would be "Politics," adding, "If you don't think the regime has plans to weaponize her just in time for 2024, you clearly have not been paying attention."Echoing the far-right fear-mongering, former Trump immigration adviser Stephen Miller tweeted, "What's happening with Taylor Swift is not organic."

I can't name a single one of her songs ---- same for Lady Gaga,   Beyonce or Britney Spears....
That said, she can't be a more ridiculous choice for that accolade than when they selected the Bad Weather Brat Greta Thunberg...

I can't name any of their songs either. I listen to bands that play their own instruments. Their music sounds like a computer is generating it.

Taylor Swift is about as "Country" as the Pope.

I don't understand why she is such a big deal

but she is

The U.S. Travel Association noted the total economic impact of Swift's "Eras Tour" could exceed $10 billion. Northeastern University called it "Swiftonomics" or "Taylornomics," with associate professor Alicia Modestino praising Swift as "a smart businesswoman" in addition to "a very talented performer."Oct 12, 2023

Time - since when was that a relevant publication?

Regardless, she's better than: Lady Gaga, Madonna, Dylan Mulvaney, Ismail Haniyeh, or Chat GPT.  She's a real she, and doesn't look like this thing:Image

TS Person of the Year?
A saccharine boring pop singer who dates a t-bone meathead??

Indicative of the vapid and soulless nature
that has taken America over.

it bothered her more than I thought it would, but she is human after all.

she is moving into my area and the whole city is abuzz and that is no exaggeration.

I knew conye is insane after watching him on kimmel a few years ago and I think kimmel thought he was insane too,

I caught swift on kimmel a couple of months ago, she is very down to earth and not conceited.

That's because Britney has shown her clam to the world on numerous occasions.

I do not like her music. However, her business acumen and smarts are upper crust. In today's era where it is increasingly more difficult to make a living as a musician, she thrives. The music business has undergone a seismic shift since the 1980's and yet she finds a way.

Like I said, I'm not familiar with any of Taylor's music --- but she obviously is a successful singer -- songwriter -- and entertainer.. She's worked hard, and does offer something to earn her money & fame...

There are plenty of insanely wealthy celebs who don't seem to do or provide anything for their riches & status----- The Kardashian Bimbos are probably the most standout example of this.... The only talent they seem to have is their remarkable ability to leave any Man they get into a marriage or relationship with into a very lost & confused trainwreck..

I'm really at a loss as to what Kim Kardashian has done to earn her fortune & fame --- other than getting banged by Negro Rappers & Athletes...
