If she loved the dogs so much, she should have taken them home and cared for them.  Feeding animals, even dogs, and letting them roam the streets is not a good idea.  I doubt they've had any shots and they could easily spread disease.  I will not condemn Egyptians for engaging in animal control.  Nor will I equate how they treat Palestinians with the way they treat dogs.  That is not a fair assessment.

Egypt has historically had its own problem with Palestinians. There's a reason Palestinians are not readily absorbed into Egypt.  They support violent factions which Egypt does not want inside its country.

she already has a sanctuary she really needs funds. she was trying to save money to get them spayed and neutered. the egyptian government does not have any shelters and does not give money to anyone who does it on their own.

that is exactly how egypt sees them, dogs at the gate. if they let them in they would poison them too.

Look, I love dogs.  I've always always had dogs.  But, when allowed to reproduce and run in packs in an urban area they can be dangerous and spread diseases. Perhaps you should be more concerned with what is happening to dogs within our own borders.  In the US, 51,000 dogs were euthanized from January to July 2023.  This was driven by a huge increase in stray dogs.   https://www.axios.com/2023/08/30/euthan ... t-pandemic

Sometimes you just have to be mean.  Israel is "mean" for killing thousands of Palestinians in its pursuit of eradicating Hamas.  Egypt is "mean" because it is protecting its borders from an enemy alien invasion.  Maybe the US should be a little meaner and SHUT ITS SOUTHERN BORDER DOWN!!!

people like the one I know would love govrnment funds to spay and neuter. and keep on shelters. she has 50 dogs and 70 cats she had spayed and neutered plus pay for food etc and medical expenses. the egyptian government rather than working with her just kills the dogs she is trying to help.

america has shelters, at least now unless biden adopts the egyptian plan. poisoning is a very painful death. there are low cost neuter programs offered by  cities.

Gaza was invaded because it attacked Israel.  There hadn't been a single Jew living in Gaza since the early 2000's.  Israel actually evicted Jews from Gaza to give it completely to the Palestinians.  Now, you may not believe Israel should have retaliated the way it did to Gaza's attack - you'd have to explain your position on that, though.

As for so-called "evictions" of Palestinians from East Jerusalem - I had to do a little research into this, as I was completely unfamiliar with these claims.  Turns out Jews bought Palestinians' homes in that area, and part of the land originally belonged to Jews who had been forced out by Palestinian squatters. That's apparently what the Palestinians started a war over.  I think that's ****, because Palestinians have been planning for war ever since they got control of Gaza.
