More like a Dessert Eagle 1911 or a S&W M&P 9mm, or once in a while a S&W 380 bodyguard. I carry the 1911 in a holster when I carry it.

My edc is just a Chinese made folding knife I picked up years ago. Stamped "Mustang 10350" at the base of one side of the blade and "China" on the other side. I think I paid $15 at a store in the Smokey Mountains. I would call it "cheap", except it holds an edge well and works like a champ. I bought it sort of as a disposable knife for a hike I was going on - - good little thumb-stud liner-lock that I just like to carry.

I don't really have a a single knife that I carry every day. I have a few different knives that I carry depending on where I am and what I'm doing.
I probably carry an Esee Izula the most. It hangs from paracord off my belt upside down in my front pocket. It makes for easy one handed deployment without having to reach into my pocket. And it's a nice sturdy fixed blade. It's nicely out of sight and doesn't take up space on my belt. It really doesn't even take much of my pocket.
I have a Buck 110 that I often wear on my belt or carry in my pack when hunting or fishing.
I have an assortment of fixed blades that I carry or use when in camp or hunting/fishing.
Then I have an array of other knives that I use or carry for different things. for instance I have an old folder that I keep in the console of my truck that I use for all sorts of stuff. I have a cheap Milwaukee fixed blade in a plastic sheath that lives in the tool bag behind my truck seat.
Knives are tools so I use different knives for different jobs. Some I use just because I like them.
