1982- 1
2022- 11

Well ****, the population in America was 231 million and it's now 333 million. We are at a 100 million more people, so of course their will be a proportionate increase.

But it's only 10 more. That's actually pretty damn good.
That's some serious logic, and even better math....depressingly Level 0.27, but nevertheless..

The population has increased by a FACTOR of 1.44.

Mass shootings have risen by an ORDER OF MAGNITUDE.

More guns do not necessarily equate to more violent crime.  Record gun sales and a decrease in violent crimes indicates otherwise.

I just curb stomped him with his own link.

More guns do not necessarily equate to more violent crime
So the talking point that more guns equates to more crime is false.
Go ahead and take a 3rd stand on this.

The econd two are from the same post.

While I won't tie the decrease if violent crime to more firearm ownership I will say that more guns apparently DO NOT equate to more violent crime.  And that has been the talking point of the gunophobes.

I don't know what rock you have been living under the past few months but there has been report after report that violent crime is down across the nation.

It is also fact that since COVID we have seen some of the highest monthly and annual firearm sales ever.

So the talking point that more guns equates to more crime is false.

That looks like a pile of twaddle, again.

The two positions are NOT the same, Verbal.

Why, if everyone knows crime is falling, are people buying more guns?

It is quite obvious I was talking about VIOLENT CRIME in each of those posts.  You are busted lying.

Ok ****! Read all of this! ALL!!!

God man. Seriously, what the hell is wrong with you?

Ok...follow along...I will try to explain this at a elementary level.

1 mass shooting in 1982. 11 in 2022. Ok. So far so good?   Follow....follow...focus now....

The percent change increase was (333M - 231M)/231) x 100 = 44.1% population increase. (Or your factor of 1.44).

This means if the rate was proportional, then for every 1 year, there would be a 44.1% increase in mass shootings every year. So, in 2022, proportionately there would have been (2022 -1982) 40 x .44 = 17.64 more mass shootings. There were 11. So we are actually under the expected target.

@Huey  what are the chances that he would have read past the first 5 words of this? Let alone understand it.

You always do when caught saying Stupid ****.

But we are looking at two specific pieces of Stupid **** that contradict each other.

These pieces of Stupid **** stand on their own. Context will not change the meaning of either.
